Opportunity summary: As Forklift Driver in our busy shipping bay or warehouse, you will be responsible for operating industrial forklift to track load and/or unload trucks for delivering the units to customers according to their requirements. How you will impact Smurfit Westrock:
Inspect the forklift daily at the start of the shift ensuring all safety features are operational. Complete checklist documenting inspection.
Safely track and move materials throughout the facility safely and efficiently
Responsible for the overall safety and cleanliness of the equipment and work area.
Assure all materials shipped and warehouse are handled in a manner that prevents damage
Load and unload trucks according to department standards and customer demands.
Use an RF scanner for receipts of returns or deliveries.
Verify all counts, quantities, quality and descriptions of products and materials received, shipped or warehouse are what is expected.
Service production lines, delivering products as requested.
Properly palletize or shrink wrap a unit.
Timely and accurate completion of paperwork associated with the movement of product & materials.
Responsible for general cleanliness of the warehouse and loading docks.
Perform regular inventory and cycle counts.
Safely change forklift propane tanks and/or batteries as needed.
Assist other departments as needed. Perform other duties as assigned.

Insert Machine Operator
Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, First Shift
Duration: Seasonal Year-End Support
Potential for Permanent Hire: Not a temp-to-perm role; however, outstanding performers may be considered if future openings arise.
We are looking for dependable individuals to support year-end production needs. This role focuses on assisting with high-volume mail processing by working on inserting equipment, catching output, loading mail trays, and managing materials on pallets. Accuracy, focus, and the ability to work efficiently around machinery are essential.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate inserting equipment in accordance with established production and quality standards.
* Maintain consistent machine output, clear jams, and ensure work flows smoothly throughout the shift.
* Prepare and organize the work area, ensuring adequate materials and minimal downtime between jobs.
* Set up machine components to ensure correct document processing.
* Monitor overall run time and adjust workflow to meet production expectations.
* Keep equipment and surrounding areas clean and orderly.
* Balance and reconcile completed work before submitting jobs for final processing.
* Communicate clearly with leads, technicians, and the supervisory team regarding issues, updates, or needed adjustments.
* Safeguard all confidential and proprietary information.
* Perform additional tasks as needed to support production objectives.
Advanced/Additional Functions
* Operate multiple inserter types such as Evolution, MSE, or EPIC units.
* Work with varied mail formats including letters and flats.
* Troubleshoot and correct minor equipment issues.
* Resolve equipment errors using training, documentation, and procedural guidelines.
* Conduct minor preventative maintenance and adjustments; escalate to maintenance personnel when necessary.
* Train team members on various inserter types to support coverage needs (roll and cut-sheet).
Physical Requirements
* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
* Ability to stand for extended periods, up to 10 hours.
* Frequent physical activity including walking, climbing, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, and stooping.
