Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator | Req ID: 15371 | HR Contact: Katherine Therese HENNESSY | Location: Canon City Agg/Asp CO ABOUT THE ROLE Operates dozers, loaders, excavators, haul trucks or other types of large equipment used for paving or moving, grading and compacting earth, sand, gravel, stone and/or asphalt materials. Conducts routine daily inspections of equipment and maintains equipment in a clean and safe manner. WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH * Operate various heavy equipment in order to loads trucks, feeds bins with various aggregate materials, maintain proper quantities of material to be loaded. * Maintain equipment: Keeps equipment clean and orderly. * Safety: Performs daily inspections on equipment to ensure safe operation. * Ensures that safety, compliance, environmental requirements are followed at all times. * Load material into bins, into crusher, into trucks or into plant. Moves earth or other materials from one location to another. * Performs visual and safety inspection of equipment. * May maintain appearance of equipment, proper air pressure in tires, proper fluid levels or perform minor repairs as needed * Completes are paperwork that may be necessary; assists with other duties required WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR * Minimum of one year of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. * Flexibility to work extended shifts and varying schedules as needed * Ability to read and write. * Excellent driving skills * Strong safety-orientation * Licenses Preferred: Valid driver's license required * Required Computer and Software Skills: Basic proficiency computer and systems skills Additional Requirements: * Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas.
