Huntsman's Performance Products Division is seeking a Chemical Operator supporting our facility in Rock Hill, Carolina. This position will report to the Plant Management Team.
In summary, as the Chemical Operator, you will:
Document operating and quality conditions of plant equipment and processes,
Notify appropriate personnel when operating and quality conditions are not met and respond accordingly,
Transfer materials into or out of drums, bags, tankers, railcars or other types of containers that may require heavy lifting (in excess of 55 lbs.) above the waistline.
Move and connect chemical hoses to pumps, reactors, tanks, tank wagons, and other equipment,
Maneuver drums, and other containers weighing up to 550 lbs. to position on pallets for filling and storage,
Perform routine maintenance on plant equipment such as tanks, pipes, hoses, pumps, etc. Use of tools, compressed gas equipment, rigging, and other operations involving equipment maintenance,
Wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as Tyvek suits, rubber gloves, rubber boots, and full-face respirators when handling chemicals or performing tasks where PPE is required,
Complete all Safety training as required to include confined space training and/or rescue training,
Any other assigned duties.

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED and prefer additional educational experiences,
