Load and unload all materials from intermodal terminal using side-loader. Prepare driver's report at the end of the shift to report any malfunctions with the side loader. Cleans cab of assigned side loader equipment at the end of the day and washes equipment as assigned. Operates assigned vehicle in a safe manner in accordance with all safety rules and regulations. Performs other related duties and fulfills responsibilities as required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of vehicle safety procedures and practices Knowledge of vehicle maintenance. Ability to safely operate a side loader vehicle in all types of weather conditions. Ability to read and follow directions and signs. Ability to communicate verbally with supervisors and co-workers. Ability to perform all physical requirements of the position. Ability to establish and maintain a cooperative working relationship with co-workers, supervisors, and customers. Qualifications: At least 18 years of age or will be by the anticipated start date. Read, write and communicate (speak, hear and understand) English Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Able to work full-time, subject to overtime, nights, on-call (24/7), weekends, and holidays. Lift/carry up to 50 lbs. Possess valid state-issued driver's license. Accurately input data in computer systems. Able to use hands to perform activities involving holding, grasping, turning and pulling. Able to perform work on uneven surfaces; frequently climb on/off equipment. Able to work in conditions with loud noise and fumes; work on/around heavy/moving machinery; bend, walk, stand, sit for extended time and use hand tools. A minimum of one year of experience operating lift equipment such as side-loader, crane, or forklifts.
