Job Summary
The Crane Operator is to safely and efficiently operate various cranes located on the docks and/or vessels. Specifically, he/she is responsible for safely and efficiently lifting and moving heavy equipment, containers, pipe, systems, groceries boxes and various materials and supplies utilized in the oil and gas industry.
*The Friction Crane Operator is responsible for operating various types of cranes: Truck and Crawler cranes from hydraulic to friction*
Essential Functions:
Operate crane to move material around site according to the plan or schedule.
Inspect cranes before and after use to identify maintenance needs.
Offloading and backloading of equipment & material.
Perform routine maintenance on the crane.
Responsible for entering work orders, daily inspections and closing out orders in HELM.
Able to perform job in a safe and expedient manner.
Participate in the BBI Take 5 Program and utilize Stop Work Authority when necessary.
Skills:
Commercial driving experience and a valid driver's license
Proficient in materials handling and operating heavy equipment, including forklifts, cranes, and backhoes
Strong mechanical knowledge to perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot equipment issues
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications
Excellent spatial awareness and hand-eye coordination for precise maneuvering of equipment

R. R. Cassidy is a local heavy construction company that specializes in deep foundation drilling, driven pipe pile, and caisson work in the electric power industry, and is looking for a full-time Heavy Equipment Operator.
The ideal candidate must have a strong work ethic and is knowledgeable in troubleshooting various heavy equipment product lines.
Candidates will be required to do groundwork to help crews out as needed.
Candidates must be willing to travel throughout the Southeast United States 80%-100% of the time.

What You'll Do

Identify, sort, and separate ferrous and non-ferrous materials according to grade
Perform basic troubleshooting of equipment
If equipment used has scale capability, weigh and record weight of material and forward via email
Greet and help customers in a safe and professional manner
Operate or assist in operating or cleaning and daily maintenance of various equipment as needed to complete task assigned
Off-site work could be assigned as needed to aid other company sites or customers in Material Handling and Processing

Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
Minimum 1-3 years of experience operating heavy equipment, preferably cranes or material handlers
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Must have basic computer, email, and printer skills
Must have the ability to work independently and in a team environment
