Essential Functions: May include one or more of the following: Use batch cards to assemble inventory and follow mixing instructions to manufacture specialty products. Unload raw materials into specific containers at specific weights and operate mixing equipment to obtain product as specified. Properly label, package, and store finished material, including banding drums and pails. Ship and receive loads. Call and schedule carriers and coordinate outbound trucks. Stage loads for shipment and generate shipping paperwork. Assist with cycle counts. Place product into racks and maintain a high level of organization in the warehouse. Discharge duties assigned in ISO 9001 and Responsible Distribution as directed and initiate actions to prevent and correct non-conformance including interruption of production. We service the greater Western Metro Detroit commercial & residential excavating and underground utility along with full site development We are looking for experienced, versatile operators with knowledge of dirt and underground pipe work. 80% CAT equipment (dozer, wheel loader, and excavator.) RESPONSIBILITIES: ASSEMBLY OPERATORS Assembly Operations: Perform assembly tasks such as fitting, fastening, and installing parts and components according to work instructions. Monitor robotic welding processes to ensure consistent quality and adherence to standards. Quality Assurance: Inspect welded joints and components to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. Identify and correct defects, such as cracks, porosity, or incomplete fusion, in welded parts. Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to address and resolve any welding-related quality issues. Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment. Perform basic housekeeping to keep area clean and safe. Use personal protective equipment (PPE), such as welding helmets, gloves, and flame-resistant clothing. Report any safety hazards or incidents to the Line Leader or Supervisor. Equipment Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance on robotic welding systems, such as cleaning, replacing consumables (e.g., welding wire, nozzles), and checking for wear and tears. Troubleshoot and resolve minor technical issues with robotic welding equipment. Report major equipment malfunctions or breakdowns to the maintenance team or Supervisor. Material Preparation: Ensure proper alignment and fit-up of parts before welding. Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth production flow. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to address any issues or concerns. Documentation: Complete production logs and welding reports accurately and on time.
