The Chemical Operator is responsible for the set up and operation of production equipment in their assigned production area used to produce microencapsulated products in a safe and efficient manner. Key Responsibilities:
Follow initiatives to enhance quality, cleanliness, safety, and productivity while reducing costs.
Gain expertise in operating equipment through hands-on training.
Collaborate with the QC lab and R&D teams.
Build production batches and maintain accurate batch paperwork.
Load and unload chemicals, operate pumps and filters, and monitor temperatures and run speeds.
Troubleshoot basic equipment issues and submit repair work orders.
Maintain a safe and organized work area, following 6S principles.
Work together with your team to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) and perform other assigned duties.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED.
1-3 years of related operator experience preferred.
Forklift certification required (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
Ability to lift 50 pounds and work independently on daily tasks.
Familiarity with ERP solutions (e.g., SAP, Sage, Microsoft Dynamics) preferred.
Personal Attributes:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Effective multitasker with excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
Eager to learn and collaborate with diverse team members.
