Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Maintain a working knowledge of the sequential Control Logic that oversees the operation of the line
Understand the different classifications of cores used, such as core thickness, core diameter etc.

Collect standard samples and for QA testing.
Add re-feed to the machines as needed.
Perform manual/automatic operations of the Rewinder.
Read, fill and understand Operator Panel.
Know parts and locations of Celli operating devises, such as alarms and lock system.
Initiate E-Stops under necessary usage conditions.

Change the photo resist rolls on the laminator as needed. Open laminator drawer, lift the used photo resist or mylar roll out of the top and bottom section of the drawer and place on a cart. Remove spindle from core and place in a new roll. Load the new roll into the machine. Team lifts roll over 35 pounds. Thread the photo resist and mylar through the laminator and close the laminator drawer. PAL's are perform at the beginning of every shift to assure that all parameters on the equipment are in running conditions.

Scope:
Change the photo resist rolls on the laminator as needed. Open laminator drawer, lift the used photo resist or mylar roll out of the top and bottom section of the drawer and place on a cart. Remove spindle from core and place in a new roll. Load the new roll into the machine. Team lifts roll over 35 pounds. Thread the photo resist and mylar through the laminator and close the laminator drawer. PAL's are perform at the beginning of every shift to assure that all parameters on the equipment are in running conditions.

Minimum Job Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
State issued driver's license
Three (3) or more years of experience with heady equipment required
Ability to operate equipment with precision for loading, lifting, and transporting materials, safely and efficiently
Conduct pre-operation inspections and perform minor maintenance
Knowledge of load capacities, center of gravity, and safe lifting techniques to prevent tipping or equipment damage
Identifying common mechanical issues and reporting malfunctions or damage for repairs
Preferred Job Qualifications:
OSHA 10 or higher certificate
One (1) year or more years of experience operating grinders and/or shredders
Experience in the compost industry preferred
Advanced knowledge of federal, state, and local job site health and safety rules, regulations, and best practices
Strong understanding of surroundings to operate safely near workers, vehicles, and obstacles
Communicate effectively with team members and external customers
Ability to quickly adjust methods or paths based on terrain, obstructions, or material behavior
Committed to maintaining productivity and safety
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
Normal work environment is outdoors, with exposure to all weather conditions, dirt, high levels of noise, smells/odors and at times exposure to dangerous and/or toxic substances requiring necessary precautions, including PPE.

About the Role
We're seeking skilled Heavy Machine Operators to support the safe operation, testing, and performance readiness of large-scale mining vehicles. You'll work hands-on with cutting-edge heavy equipment and autonomous vehicle systems in a fast-growing automotive technology environment.
As a Heavy Machine Operator, you'll operate and maintain 20-ton mining vehicles, perform safety inspections, and assist with hardware and software testing. You'll also collaborate with engineering teams, providing actionable feedback to improve system reliability and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Safely operate and maneuver 20-ton mining vehicles and other heavy equipment.
Perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections, complete DVIRs, and promptly report issues.
Support hardware & software testing, delivering clear written and verbal feedback.
Uphold the highest safety and compliance standards; ensure vehicle readiness.
Travel up to 50% to support field operations and testing.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations and data capture.
Daily Tasks

Record and communicate performance feedback to engineering/test teams.

Qualifications
5+ years of verifiable heavy machinery operation (mining/industrial preferred).
Comfortable operating and backing 20-ton vehicles; able to drive for extended periods.
CDL-A preferred but not required.
Must pass background check, road test, and all DOT requirements (drug test, MVR, physical).
Clean driving record, including:
≤ 2 minor moving violations in the past 3 years
No serious traffic violations in the past 5 years
No DUI/DWI/OUI or reckless driving involving alcohol/drugs in the past 10 years
No preventable accidents in the past 3 years
No preventable DOT recordables in the past 10 years
Strong teamwork, professionalism, and communication.
Ability to interpret/apply laws, rules, regulations, and company policies.
Interest in driver-assistance and autonomous technology; willing to learn.
Work Schedule
12-hour shifts on an alternating weekly schedule:
Week 1: 3 days on / 4 days off
Week 2: 4 days on / 3 days off
Initial training may be held in Sunnyvale, CA for one week before transitioning to Morgan Hill.

Position Summary:
GreenWaste is seeking to temporarily fill the position of Heavy Equipment Operator to provide support to one or more facilities. This role's main function will be to operate industrial grade equipment efficiently while observing all safety protocols.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Properly follow company and OSHA safety procedures to ensure safety.
Operate wheel loaders and other heavy equipment proficiently.
Work in a fast-paced close quarters environment with other heavy equipment, forklifts, garbage trucks and pedestrian traffic safely.
Load trucks and/or processing equipment.
Push material on tipping pads as needed.
Construct onsite building pads, all weather surfaces, and slopes.
Maintaining the sites roads and terrain.
Assist with unloading trucks as needed.
Understand the safety features of each piece of equipment and how to properly use and track them.
Top load walking floor trailers with the proper materials for each individual truck.
Communicate with the scale and spotters to manage traffic flow on the tipping floors.
Daily pre trip and post trip inspections of equipment and report any issues to the supervisor on shift.
Keep equipment clean, fueled and in good repair throughout the shifts minimizing disruptions to operations.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of the use of all heavy equipment, its operation and all of the safety features.
Ability to work with minimal supervision, think and make decisions quickly.
Be punctual, and reliable in order to minimize disruptions to the day-to-day operations.
Ability to work as a team and work well with others.
