Piramal Pharma Solutions' HPAPI Research and Manufacturing facility located in Riverview, Michigan, is seeking a qualified Chemical Operator II to join our Production team. The Chemical Operator II is responsible for conducting chemical syntheses/manufacture of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), their intermediates and other materials according to applicable SOPs, batch records, and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES.
Conduct chemical syntheses of APIs and their intermediates within scheduled dates or times independently.
Comply with all applicable policies and procedures. This includes those required by PPS as well as external regulatory bodies.
Maintain cleanliness and routine maintenance of the work area and equipment items within the working environment.
Maintain, operate and troubleshoot process specific utilities independently.
Control the inventory of basic raw materials, consumables, and wastes within the immediate working environment.
Document all work conducted according to ASI required format(s). Including but not limited to electronic systems.
Recognize and report documentation issues to supervision and QA.
Assist in the assembly and maintenance of documents particular to the operation and complying with applicable regulatory requirements.
Assist supervision in support of the facility by:
Recognizing and reporting equipment issues to Supervisor and Maintenance.
Recognizing and reporting inventory issued to Supervisor and Purchasing.
Support site waste management.
Reviewing and generating supporting SOPs and records.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Two (2) year diploma from an accredited institution or equivalent experience strongly preferred.
Two (2) years minimum experience as Chemical Operator I or equivalent experience in a chemical manufacturing environment.
JOB COMPETENCIES.
Mechanical skills in assembly and use of bay processing equipment and aides, as well as troubleshooting skills for all equipment.
Good understanding of applicable software systems including but not limited to Trackwise, SAP, MasterControl.
Ability to interact effectively within all levels of the company.

What will you do?
Operates production equipment in a manner consistent with training and work instructions to ensure safety and the highest level of product quality.
Prepares mixing vessels, necessary pumps and hoses for unloading. Inspects all containers prior to filling for cleanliness and integrity.
Operates process control systems including PLC s, mass flow meters, pumps and scales.
Fills containers as prescribed in the associated batch ticket, pick ticket, and or export order sheet and prepares containers for shipment including labelling, palletizing and wrapping and completes work orders in JDE.
Maintains neat, thorough and correct completion of all batch related documentation. Calculates batch yields and responds appropriately.
Store and stage inventory in assigned areas for batch preparation, further processing and/or shipping.
Assist in tracking material inventory and performing inventory counts, make inventory transfers in JDE.
Loads and unloads box trucks and flat-beds, tanker trucks and rail cars, either manually or using proper material handling equipment. Load containerized and bulk raw materials to production vessels.
Complete shipping responsibilities including; receive PO s in JDE, ship items in JDE, communicate late shipments to OTC group, Prepare UPS and FedEx shipments and call trucks for shipment.
Maintains a clean and organized work area and strictly adheres to all plant safety policies. Provides immediate containment, reporting and clean-up/recovery of spilled material or leaks.
Operates all types of Forklifts and other related motorized vehicles in a safe and proficient manner.
Holds team members accountable for safety and quality procedures. Routinely participate in site safety committee.

PCSI is looking for a Heavy Equipment Operator at its Detroit Arsenal Site. Responsibilities include operating and maintaining heavy equipment to support facility operations and maintenance at the Detroit Arsenal. Duties include the safe and efficient operation of machinery, such as loaders, backhoes, street sweepers, and forklifts, for tasks including material handling, landscaping, earthmoving, snow removal, and site preparation. Ensures compliance with safety standards, performs routine equipment inspections, and assists with general facility upkeep as needed. This position will report to the Grounds Supervisor.
SHIFT: 7:30 am - 4:00 pm Monday - Friday (subject to adjustment based on operational needs)
Rate of pay: $42.79 per hour (union position) with annual increases plus Health & Welfare

What You'll Do as the Heavy Equipment Operator:
Heavy Equipment Operation
Use heavy machinery such as front-end loaders, dump truck, street sweeper, backhoes and skid-steers for earthmoving, grading, site clearing, pavement clearance, excavating, landscaping, and other facility-support tasks.
Other Equipment Operation
Operate other equipment such as Kubota, Polaris, Polar Tracs, striping machines, snow raiders, aerators, portable compressors, pressure washers, and generators.
Snow and Ice Removal Operations
Operate front-end loader with push boxes for snow removal and F-Series pickups for plowing and salting operations
Perform Routine Inspections & Preventive Maintenance
Check fluid levels, tires, belts, brakes, and other critical components on heavy equipment and other grounds equipment. Conduct minor repairs; notify supervisors of significant maintenance requirements.
Read Plans and Interpret Job Orders
Review blueprints, work orders, and scope documents to select the appropriate equipment, rigging, and methods.
Project Support
Assist with tasks like trenching, backfilling, compacting, debris removal, grading, maintaining drainage features, and grounds preparation.
Site Cleanliness & Safety
Ensure work areas are clean, orderly, and free of hazards; adhere to all applicable safety regulations and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
Coordination & Communication
Maintain clear communications with supervisors and team members; respond to hand signals, radios, or verbal directions efficiently.
Grounds Support
Grounds maintenance utilizing zero turns, walk-behinds, and other tools and equipment
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid Michigan driver's license; CDL not required but preferred.
Ability to lift, stand, and work outdoors for extended periods.
Successfully pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screen, background check, and motor vehicle report

Experience & Skill Level

Technical & Operational Knowledge
Capability to control, train, and evaluate proficiency of control heavy tracked/wheeled machines like loaders, backhoes, and skid steers
Understand proper rigging for lifting and securing loads
Ability to interpret work orders, blueprints, and site drawings.
Maintenance Proficiency
Skilled in daily checks, minor mechanical fixes, and scheduling maintenance tasks.
Safety & Regulatory Compliance
