Job Summary:
Liberty Tire Recycling is looking for a Heavy Equipment Operator. As a heavy equipment operator, you'll be operating a range of heavy machinery, including loaders, excavators, and skid steer. This position requires working in noisy environments with exposure to extreme temperatures and involves physically demanding tasks within our tire recycling facility in our Orlando, FL. facility.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Safely operate various heavy machinery to collect, transport and load/unload tires and shreds.
Keeping the lot clean and free of shreds, all material in proper piles.
Ensure adherence to all safety procedures and understand directions thoroughly.
Assist with and perform other reasonable tasks around the general plant and yard facilities related to maintenance.
Skills and Abilities:
Must have heavy machinery experience.
Ability to use hand tools.
Ability to perform equipment inspections and basic maintenance.
Able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time often on wet, slick, and/or uneven terrain or surfaces.
Understand and follow all OSHA and site-specific safety programs.
Must be reliable and flexible.
Willingness to work in a noisy environment with hot, cold, wet and dirty conditions.
Be a team player.
Education and Experience:
Prior experience in the tire recycling or manufacturing industry is a plus.
