JOB SUMMARY
Work in a Sysco warehouse and be a critical member of the foodservice supply chain. Warehouse Selectors pick orders for delivery to foodservice venues in the local community.
Active, physical role that includes operating an electric pallet jack, and/or forklift
Organizing and palletizing product to build customer orders
Other duties as assigned.
Safe working environment, working in areas with temperature and humidity variations based on local weather conditions and type of product being selected (i.e., non-refrigerated, refrigerated, and frozen.)
Minimum Requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age.
0 - 1 Year relevant work experience.
Frequently lift product that weighs 10lb - 75lbs and up to 100lbs.
Frequently reach up to 72 inches.
Constantly bend and twist while operating an electric pallet jack or forklift, retrieving products from lower shelf areas.
Work in very extreme temperatures (cooler and/or freezer).
Work on your feet for 10 - 12 hours daily.
Preferred Requirements
1 year experience operating an electric pallet jack or forklift.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Check inbound product identification against invoices and receiving paperwork to insure correct pack/size, quantity, product quality and temperature, pallet ti/hi, etc.
Check temperature of all inbound frozen and refrigerated products to ensure proper temperatures and compliance to U.S. Foodservice's food safety and RRE requirements.
Verify quantity of each product to insure physical count agrees with shipping and receiving documentation; report any variances so that inventory levels are accurately adjusted in system. Move received product from the dock into the proper warehouse slots using forklift, pallet jack and hi-low.
Completes required paperwork for daily receiving, as per U.S. Foodservice, USDA and SOX requirements; sign and date to authenticate products received are placed into inventory.
Transport pallet loads of product from dock to correct warehouse slot using powered industrial equipment and insures all pallets are secure in designated slots to avoid damage or injury when product is selected.
Replenish pick slots with product from reserve slots to maintain inventory levels for night shift selection.
Record all product, equipment and warehouse damage.
Maintain the cleanliness of aisles by removing any debris from floor and racks
Follow safety policies and practices at all times
Education/Training: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Related Experience:
Previous warehouse experience preferred
Experience with Electric Pallet Jack or High Lift REQUIRED
Foodservice experience preferred.
