This position plays a key role in supporting a world-class Specialty Contact Lens Clinic, working closely with optometrists and clinical staff to ensure exceptional patient care, efficient operations, and accurate financial and insurance processes.
Oversees contact lens orders, returns, and vendor credits; processes patient payments and rebates; tracks financial transactions and communicates updates to staff and providers.

What will you do?
The Psychotherapist functions within the Interdisciplinary Treatment Team to lead and provide patient care and supportive services that are directed at achievement of patient care outcomes, maximizing the patient's involvement in his or her own care plan, improving service levels and decreasing costs. Responsibilities
The Athletic Trainer functions as an integral member of the team of at any musculoskeletal outpatient physician practice, and works within his/her scope of practice as outlined by the Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Athletic Trainers Board of the State of Ohio under the general supervision of the Physicians and Physician Assistants.
The Athletic Trainer at OSU Physicians will manage the daily clinic flow, triage patients, assist during in office procedures, obtain and process laboratory samples and specimens, and perform phlebotomy. Athletic Trainers provide bracing and casting in the outpatient clinic environment as well as one-on-one instruction on rehabilitation programs.
As a Lead Athletic Trainer, your role extends beyond patient care by:
Providing valuable feedback. Healthcare is a rapidly growing field - constant advancements in science translate to changes in clinical standards, and policy and procedures. We need confident professionals like you, who can communicate these changes to clinic management.
Developing leadership skills. You have the opportunity to work with management on process and clinic improvement, and communicate with fellow leads on any new workflows to ensure understanding and consistent practice. You will also assist management in handling any staffing gaps to prioritize urgent clinic needs.
Serving as a role model. You will be the clinical and policy resource/expert for your fellow Athletic Trainers. They will look up to you - not only for clinical advice, but as a character role model as well. In this role, you will serve as the first point of escalation for issues in the department/clinic.
And working on other special project(s) as directed!
Qualifications
Athletic Training Certification (A.T.C.) and Licensure by the State of Ohio Occupational, Physical Therapy and Athletic Training Board.
2-3 years of experience in an outpatient orthopedic/sports medicine facility.
Previous experience working with athletic populations.
CPR Certification.
Ongoing requirements include: Maintaining current Ohio LPN-P license, BLS-HCW certification; meeting mandatory educational and health requirements; maintaining and seeking new knowledge related to evidenced-based practice, patient care issues, quality improvement, cost reduction, and current policies procedures, and protocols; demonstrating competence in technical, interpersonal, and cognitive skills required to meet essential job functions; staying current with technical rehabilitation advances and skills; and maintaining other required licensure.

Responsibilities
Ensure, organize, and maintain an active, accurate, and operational surgery schedule by coordinating all surgeries and procedures for assigned providers and service lines.
Coordinate surgical procedures with multiple hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers, schedule and coordinate pre-operative testing, communicate surgery orders, and collect necessary documentation for surgeries.

Nutritional care at OSUP is individualized and based on the nutritional requirements of the patient which is why our Staff Dietitian role is a critical part of the patient's health care team.
Outpatient Staff Dietitians are responsible for providing nutritional care to patients that may include nutrition assessment and care plan development and ongoing nutrition counseling and diet education according to department and medical center policies and procedures.
