WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Delivers materials to Shops and transfers materials between Shops via a scheduled delivery system.
Utilizes material moving equipment (pallet jack, hand truck, fork lift, or vehicle) or transfers by hand.
Receives inventory according to processes outlined the appropriate company manuals.
Uses Columbia's ERP system to perform task function.
Stocks materials by using various means such as hand truck, pallet jack, and fork lift.
Properly prepares and packages items to be stocked to ensure accuracy and availability.
Stocks the materials in the correct locations as indicated in company's ERP system ensuring availability.
Processes the necessary documents to receive inventory accurately into stock.
Follows the processes for picking as outlined in appropriate company manual.
Pulls materials by using the various electronic documents generated by company's ERP system.
Pulls materials by using various means such as hand trucks, pallet jacks, and forklift.
Assists internal customers with matters within the scope of the Inventory Department.
Delivers materials as requested by using various means including company vehicles and equipment.
Delivers freight to venders, freight forwarders, and internal customers' jobsites.
Maintains inventory accuracy and availability
Maintains a clean and professional department that promotes continuous improvement.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:
High school diploma or GED.
1-2 years' cycle count experience or equivalent, desired but not required.
1-2 years' warehouse experience, receiving, picking, and pulling orders, desired but not required
Maintains a valid Driver's license.
Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Ability to work overtime as needed including providing after-hours support.
Solid organizational skills with attention to detail.

1st Shift Material Handler Department: Receiving Reports to: Supervisor/Plant Manager Job Type: Full-time Shift: Day Shift 6:00am to 4:30pm M-F Swing shift hours 4:30pm to 3:00am M-F Organization Description SteelFab provides high quality steel structures with a high focus on customer service within several locations. Specific Responsibilities & Essential Job Functions
* Maintains control of all material, including that supplied by customers.
* Receives incoming materials, keeps yard organized.
* Ensures receiving counts match purchase order documents, assist in resolving discrepancies.
* Loads and unloads various types of freight from incoming deliveries.
* Carries out material acceptance inspections, refers concerns to Quality Control if needed.
* Receives and stores incoming materials as required, ensuring quantity, lot numbers, expiration dates and any other pertinent information that may apply to associated paperwork (work orders, packing slips, bills of lading, etc.)
* Checks bunker inventory on a weekly basis (entire yard covered at least every 2 months)
* Uses material handling equipment, safely and efficiently, to transport products to shipping locations or delivery platforms.
* Reports and equipment damage or malfunction to supervisor or maintenance.
* Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
* High School Diploma or GED Certificate.
* Attention to details.
* Forklift and Crane experience.
* Can follow processes and procedures.
* Adaptable to different environments.
* Function effectively as part of a team.
* Clean pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
* Clean background screening that includes previous employment, education, criminal history and driving record verification.
Work Environment & Physical Demands

* Work is performed in the fabrication shop and outdoors in inclement weather.
* Some lifting required less than 50lbs.
* Hours outside of scheduled shift will be necessary as workload dictates. This may include weekends.
