The Tax and Billing Analyst is responsible for lubricant, DEF, MSA and equipment daily billing, tax schedule/ship to setup, maintain tax exemptions, assist with preparation and filing of sales, lubricants, and fuel tax return functions. Maintenance of fuel and freight related data in multiple systems.
Responsibilities Include:

Assist with preparation of sales, lubricant and fuel tax return filing
Maintenance of supplier cost tables, pickup points, and products in SAGE and Excel

Requirements:
2-4 years tax related experience or education
Accounting degree preferred but not required

Ergon's Paragon Technical Services is seeking an experienced Analytical Chemist to lead laboratory-based research and development efforts focused on bituminous materials used in the asphalt paving industry, in our Hattiesburg, MS, location. This role requires expertise in High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) and Gel Permeation Chromatography/Size Exclusion Chromatography (GPC/SEC) to analyze the properties of asphalts, polymers, and process oils. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic, research-driven environment and contribute to innovative product development.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in chemistry required (Graduate degree preferred).
Minimum 3 years of experience in analytical chemistry (5+ years preferred).
Proven expertise in HPLC and/or GPC/SEC instruments; experience with Agilent equipment is a plus.
Strong ability to work independently in a deadline-driven research setting.
Effective time management and organizational skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct and oversee HPLC and GPC/SEC testing for bituminous materials.
Develop a deep understanding of the SAR-AD instrument and its applications.
Ensure laboratory data integrity, verifying accuracy and reevaluating questionable results.
Maintain meticulous lab records and documentation that align with industry standards.
Stay current with relevant testing requirements and methodologies (ASTM, AASHTO, etc.).
Perform routine calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
Organize lab space effectively, ensuring cleanliness and proper inventory management.
Collaborate with the Technical Director and Research Team, providing updates on ongoing projects.
Comply with Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) regulations and company policies.
Support broader research initiatives through analysis, reporting, and teamwork.
Optional: Contribute to peer-reviewed publications based on research findings.
