Under the supervision of the Maintenance Facilitator or designee, the third shift Technician repairs and maintain according to specification the production machinery and equipment. Make adjustment to machinery in accordance with Manufacture's Specification on all equipment. Follows QSR, ISO, safety and environmental regulations.
Essential Jobs Functions:
* Keeps production equipment working in accordance with Manufacturing Specifications
* Responsible for performing inspection, check and calibration on automatic, mechanical and electrical instrument or equipment
* Performs repair and preventive maintenance to Autoclave sterilize
* Coordinate all PMs (Preventive Maintenance) Programs with each Manager as to the time, when the work can be done
* Keeps record on all PM's as shown on the SOP (Standard Operation Procedure)
* Diagnose the source of malfunction in both mechanical, electrical components of equipment and dismantle to replace defective parts
* Check inventory to assure that requires repair parts are available prior to shutting down equipment to make preventive maintenance or repair
* Maintain equipment logbook on all instrument or equipment
* Maintain accurate procedure of clean-up tools while performing duties in production areas
* Interpret and work with blueprints, drawing, schematic, layout, diagrams, written specification and/or oral instruction in diagnose and trouble-shooting equipment malfunction using various measuring and test instrument
* Operating variety of power tools such as welder, band saw, pipe threads, etc.
* Observe and implements Current Good Manufacturing Practice (CGMP), Safety Laws, ISO requirements and Company Policy
* Advise supervisor of any improper usage of equipment tool
* Make modification of existing equipment or machinery as necessary
* Active participation in Lean activities
* Maintain an open line of communication to assure all problems or changes are communicated and resolve in a timely manner
* As applicable, make suggestions for improving product quality and equipment
* Collaborate with supervision, engineering and other personnel on quality and performance improvements as request

Education:
* Vocational School Graduate or Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Instrumentation or Mechanical Engineering. (preferred)
* Able to read and write English.

Experience:
* 1-3 years experience in field of machine maintenance (PLCs, vision systems, pneumatics, electrical devices, 3 phase motors, preventative maintenance, reading schematics, calibration, diagnose, etc.)

As a Biometric Technician (BT), you will be responsible for supporting the mission of a government program located in San Juan, PR This position works as a part of a dynamic team of professionals assisting the United States Citizenship and Immigration (USCIS) Application Support Center (ASC) operations. Amentum provides all required job training for qualified candidates. This position is an on call (casual) team member.
On Call (causal) employees are expected to be available all five days, Monday through Friday from the hours of 7:45am to 4:15pm for substitute coverage as needed at the site. This is not a regular Full Time or regular Part Time position; it is a Casual On-Call position. All efforts are made to notify On-Call personnel in advance of the site on call needs, however, occasionally employees are notified the night before or day of. Interested candidates must meet this availability. In this position, hours are not guaranteed, and employees are on a "as needed" basis so a steady income stream cannot be guaranteed. The On-Call position is a perfect fit for candidates with flexibility, seeking supplemental income and for those who still want to be active in a work environment without a committed schedule.
Primary Responsibilities are:
* Complete biometrics registration for applicants seeking legal immigration to the United States.
* Ensure all who enter the ASC are approved applicants and visitors while providing both interior and exterior crowd control and assisting the staff in enforcing the rules and policies of the ASCs.
* Provide front-line customer service as representatives of Amentum and on behalf of the United States Government.

Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the SM Production Manager Team, the Technician has responsibility of manufacturing machinery and equipment areas. This position receives direct guidance and work instructions from the Lead Technician. Also, has a dotted line reporting relationship to the Shift Manufacturing Facilitator in terms of daily priorities. The job entails maintaining, solving, and continuously improving and training on all automated equipment, including but not limited to Multivac, HMIS, and Vision System.
Job Responsibilities: (Primary Duties, Roles, and/or Authorities)
1. Responsible for maintaining, repairing, and solving issues with process machinery.
2. Prepare and maintain preventive maintenance documentation.
3. Responsible for maintaining spare parts for its assigned equipment; all additional machine components as necessary.
4. Makes recommendations for equipment improvement and work with engineer and production supervisors to attain cost saving and machine efficiency goals.
5. Must be able to fabricate machine parts in the maintenance shop.
6. Support process improvement projects and qualification effort.
7. Complete and detail preventive maintenance work orders.
8. Complete and detail corrective maintenance on equipment.
9. Complete and document validations.
10. Incumbent is expected to be able to provide technical guidance to machine set ups and operators.
11. Align with Good Documentation Practices.
12. Align with GMP requirements.
13. Align with OSHA and PROSHO requirements.
14. Responsible for working in accordance with the training, work procedures and instructions to ensure satisfactory EHS performance.
15. Responsible for reporting accidents, unsafe acts, and defective equipment to their supervisor.
16. Cooperate with management and supervisors by actively participating in EHS improvements activities.
17. Responsible to complete the training to work as an operator set up in all SM manufacturing lines.
18. Other tasks as required by the Supervisor.
Education and Experience:
1. Associate Degree in Electronics or Industrial Mechanics.
2. Machinist or tool making training desirable.
3. Minimum five (5) years' experience in a similar position.
4. Must be computer literate.
Knowledge and Skills:
1. Knowledge of the followings areas is mandatory:
a. Electricity
b. Electronics (Diagrams also required)
c. Vibratory Feedings
d. Pneumatics (Diagrams also required)
e. Industrial Mechanics
f. Ultrasonic Welding
g. Interpretation of technical drawings
h. Vision Systems
i. Thermoforming
j. Connect to and navigate Programmable Logic Controllers
2. Knowledge of the following areas is desirable:
a. Hydraulics
b. Liquid Dispensing
c. Tool Making
d. Ultrasonic Atomization
e. Corona and Plasma treatment
f. UV Curing
g. Fanuc and Epson Robots
h. Multivac Thermoforms
3. Knowledge in the followings areas is a plus:
a. Metrology/Calibrations
b. Refrigeration
c. Vacuum Pumps
d. Compressed Air Atomization
e. Troubleshoot PLC logic
4. Experience with the following equipment is desirable:
a. Thermoformers
b. High-speed assembly equipment
c. Bagging equipment
d. Pad printing equipment
e. Positive displacement pumps
f. Ultrasonic welders
g. Vision Systems
h. Programmable Logic Controllers
5. Bilingual: Able to read and understand English and Spanish. Physical Demands: (if applicable)
1. Medium demand.
2. Frequent lifting and moving materials.
3. Frequent walking and standing.
