The Monitor Technician collects data, enters laboratory and radiology requests into the computer systems, performs basic patient care under direct nurse supervision and performs unit secretary duties within the ICU Department. The Technician monitors the cardiac display/scopes, records, detects and reports the abnormal rhythms to the RN's caring for the patients. The Monitor Technician may also function as a Patient Care Technician. Basic Qualifications: · Education: Requires a high school diploma in General Studies or a GED state certification.
