At AFC Urgent Care, our Providers focus on episodic treatment of acute illnesses and injuries. We have a CLIA-waived lab and full scope digital x-rays. Providers meet, assess, and diagnose patients in our clinic and provide them with healthcare services that meet state and national standards for caregiving. The right candidate and will enjoy working closely with other healthcare professionals in our organization.
Essential Functions
Examine patients (6 months and older), obtain and document accurate medical history, address patients' concerns, and answer patients' questions.
Prescribe pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens to treat identified medical conditions.
Discuss potential side effects of medication/treatment with patients and ensure that all allergy information is up to date before prescribing medication/treatment.
Perform any minor procedures necessary for patient management, including but not limited to, suturing, incision and drainage, foreign body removal, etc.
Provide advice to patients for lifestyle and diet changes that may improve their health or help to treat the health issue they are experiencing.
Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all federal and state health information privacy laws.
Complete patients' charts and information to reflect current findings and treatments.
Marginal Functions
Accurately complete all medical records in a timely manner.
Adhere to ongoing quality improvement objectives and safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
Qualifications
Master's Degree from an Accredited University
Licensed as Advance Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) OR Physician Assistant (PA)
Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner OR Board-Certified Physician's Assistant
Current Texas State License
1+ years' experience in Urgent Care
1+ years' experience as Single Provider
Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advance Life Support (ACLS) certified preferred.
DOT Certification required

Refer patients for appropriate follow up care when indicated.
Deliver and document all aspects of patient care according to standards set forth by Prime Occupational Medicine
Provide patient healthcare teaching and counseling relevant to presenting problems.
Document discharge instructions and summarization.
Other clinical services deemed to be appropriate for the services of the patients under the NP's care, within the NP's scope of practice.
The APP will practice with the supervision of an approved SP, which involves either being on site or readily available via telecommunications

Summary of Duties of the Medication Technician
The primary responsibilities of the Medication Technician are as follows: 1) Administer or assist with the administration and/or supervision of medications to the residents in a safe, accurate, and timely manner (dependent on State regulations); 2) Provide physical and psychosocial care to all residents in a manner that promotes dignity, choice, and individuality; and 3) Responsible for overseeing the wellness staffing schedule. The Medication Technician reports to the supervisor on duty as well as the Wellness Director.
Essential Functions of the Medication Technician
Administers or assists with or supervises the administration of medications according to the physician order on the medication administration record (MAR).
Documents medications administered on the MAR in accordance with company policy; Checks MARs immediately after administration and prior to end of shift to ensure documentation is complete and accurate.
Conducts change of shift report with oncoming/outgoing shift personnel.
Maintains security of medication cart and narcotic keys during entire shift; Conducts narcotic count at the beginning and end of every shift in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Provides assistance with activities of daily living such as with bathing, dressing, personal hygiene (includes shaving, oral care, nail care, hair care, foot care), toileting, eating, and ambulation/mobility.
Works collaboratively with peers and other team members.

PRIME is able to serve the corporate and industrial sectors with 24/7 availability.Objectives of this role: The role of the Occupational Nurse Practitioner is a multi-faceted and diverse one, as these advanced nursing professionals serve as healthcare providers, safety inspectors, educators, and architects of new health and safety measures and programs. Provide treatment and physicals, to sick or injured patients. Document and report observations and any treatment provided.Responsibilities:
Take pertinent histories and perform examinations relevant to patient complaint and presentation along with performing routine human resource functions such as physicals, return to work, and fitness for duty evaluations.
Order and interpret results of routine laboratory tests, including CBC's, Blood chemistries, UA's and any other pertinent diagnostic labs deemed necessary for evaluation.
Order and interpret routine radiological studies, pulmonary function tests and audiograms.
Establish medical diagnoses and determine a plan of care and treatment.
Refer patients for appropriate follow up care when indicated.
Deliver and document all aspects of patient care according to standards set forth by Prime Occupational Medicine
Provide patient healthcare teaching and counseling relevant to presenting problems.
Document discharge instructions and summarization.
Other clinical services deemed to be appropriate for the services of the patients under the NP's care, within the NP's scope of practice.
The APP will practice with the supervision of an approved SP, which involves either being on site or readily available via telecommunications

Active APP license in the state of Texas is required
Physical Demands: Standing and walking long distances for prolonged periods of time, lift, carry push, pull or otherwise move objects up to 75 pounds. Good vision. Kneel, bend, or work in awkward positions. Must be physically coordinated to perform required tasks to precision. Repetitive motion. Extensive use of computers and keyboard. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading. Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
