Job Description
Under general supervision, responsible for the execution of activities associated with the driver intervention program by acting as a program monitor or presenter, as needed. The primary work schedule requires flexibility, as weekend work is required. Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Presenting: Utilizing the curriculum and educational materials provided by the company, provide DIP education in the following areas:
Traffic Safety
BAC drugs and impairment.
Level of license suspension and revocation.
Fines and levels of incarceration.
Driving tasks and specific psychomotor skills required.
Physiological and psychological effects of alcohol and other drugs on driving performance.
Client education on alcohol and drug abuse and addiction
Physical and psychological aspects of alcohol and other drugs.
Combining the use of alcohol and other drugs.
Social consequences of the use of alcohol and other drugs.
Signs and symptoms of abuse and dependence on alcohol and other drugs.
Dysfunctional behavior resulting from the use of alcohol and other drugs.
Progressive nature of alcohol and drug abuse and dependence.
Abstinence as a lifestyle and self-help programs such as AA, NA, CA, etc.
Treatment alternatives and local resources
Manages participants behavior, as needed. Accepts and reviews participant documentation as required.
Monitoring (required overnight monitoring as scheduled):
Conducts searches of all participant's belongings upon entry to the program.
Check rooms of participants for contraband and unauthorized visitors.
Assist in securing medications.
Ensures participant adherence to DIP rules.
Conducts frequent headcounts per shift to ensure all participants are reported/recorded, including mealtimes, before the start of any session, after any occurrence, at lights out, after breaks, at wake up, during sleep hours, etc.
Reporting
Completes occurrence/incident reports and/or progress notes documenting any remarkable circumstances (i.e., illnesses, facility problems, serious rule infractions, and participant terminations.
Administer and record breathalyzer testing, as needed.

* Manage classroom and lab to ensure students acquire necessary skills for employment while learning in a safe environment.
* Provide continuous emphasis of safe work practices related to electricity, substation, and field work.
* Course emphasis will be on Utilities apprenticeship Substation program.
* Provide instruction and technical support to NWTC Corporate Training and Economic Development.
* Scout and procure equipment to upgrade technology and equipment used, both purchases and donations, to stay current with industry standards, practices, and challenges.
* Arrange for equipment maintenance, repairs, and transport to and from.
* Continue education and promote NWTC apprenticeship programs through conferences.
* Communicate with and visit sponsoring utilities for continuing review of course content and curriculum.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND WORK EXPERIENCE
* Completion of Apprenticeship Program OR Journey level in subject area OR Associate's degree in related field and five years of direct occupational experience.
* Occupational experience may include positions as:
* Substation Electrician
* Specific on the job experience in:
* Troubleshooting and repair of substations.
* Installation, testing and maintenance of high and medium voltage electrical equipment related to power transmission and distribution with specialization on substations.
* Oversight of construction and commissioning o new equipment, routine maintenance and testing, analyzing test results, troubleshooting faulty equipment and monitoring the operation of substations.
* Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagram, and technical engineering related information.
* Repairing and replacing substation equipment and components.
* Proficient in above and below ground equipment
* NESC and NEC Electrical Safety codes
* Work safely around high and medium voltage, construction operations and equipment, and electrical hazards.
* Ability to work non-standard hours including evening and weekend hours
Preferred Qualifications:
* Previous teaching experience with adult learners is preferred

Classroom Duties:
Plan, organize, and deliver STEAM programming as it aligns with Camp Fire objectives.
Organize, sanitize, and store classroom equipment and supplies.
Maintain a safe and secure environment for children, being aware of child activities at all times.
Work as a team member with other staff.
Communicate effectively with children, their parents, and other staff
Help to maintain a learning environment with developmentally appropriate activities.
Assist in coordinating and implementing lesson plans and recreational activities.
Assist with tutoring youth.
Provide Camp Fire Club leadership as appropriate and integrated within the program.
Assist with record keeping duties and preparing and maintaining program materials.
Assist in enforcing self-care activities and enforcing safety rules and procedures.
Set up and take down licensing area daily in coordination with school site.
Work with Fremont City School Personnel for snacks and location information.

Qualifications:
