Tristar Physical Therapy
Physical therapist assistant job in Newport, TN
Benefits:
401(k)
401(k) matching
Competitive salary
Dental insurance
Health insurance
Opportunity for advancement
Paid time off
Training & development
Vision insurance
Physicaltherapistassistants are often overworked and underpaid-seeing too many patients each day, working long hours, and constantly feeling pressure to hit numbers. That leads to frustration and burnout. At Tristar Physical Therapy, we believe PTAs should be able to focus on what matters most: delivering great care and helping patients get real results. That's why we provide a supportive environment, a manageable caseload, and a culture built around outcomes-not chaos.
Hi, I'm Jordan Black, PT, DPT, owner of Tristar Physical Therapy. I want to share a quick piece of our backstory.
Like you, I've always been passionate about helping people move better and live without pain. But years ago, after dealing with my own injuries, I experienced “rehab” that felt impersonal-like I was just another number. There wasn't strong accountability, and it didn't feel like the care was truly results-driven. Looking back, I believe many clinicians were simply stretched too thin to deliver the level of care they wanted to provide.
That experience stuck with me-and it pushed me to build something different.
I started Tristar with one goal: deliver real rehab with real people, built on individualized care, education, and best-in-class outcomes. Since opening, we've grown quickly across East Tennessee, built an incredible team, and we consistently hear from patients that we are “their solution.”
Now, we're hiring a full-time PhysicalTherapistAssistant (PTA) to join our team.
We've helped tens of thousands of local residents, but we'll never value volume more than patient satisfaction and staff retention. We're looking for someone who is passionate, outgoing, and committed to excellent clinical care in an outpatient orthopedic setting. New grads are welcome to apply.
What we offer:
Mentorship: You are not alone-our team works together so you can grow and thrive.
Competitive Pay + Bonus Structure: We want you supported and paid fairly to prevent burnout.
Advancement Opportunities: Growth paths exist for team members who help expand the business and improve our clinical product.
Benefits Package: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), Accrued PTO, CEU reimbursement, Holiday Pay
If this sounds like the right fit, submit your application and we'll set up a call or time to meet.
I look forward to hearing from you,
Jordan Black, PT, DPT
Compensation: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
Tristar Physical Therapy is a leading outpatient physical and occupational therapy provider with 8 locations across East Tennessee. We deliver personalized, evidence-based care to help patients recover faster, move better, and live healthier lives. Our team of 35+ skilled therapists treats various conditions using manual therapy-based techniques, individualized exercise prescriptions, and progressive treatment plans tailored to each patient's goals.
We emphasize a hands-on, patient-centered approach that empowers clinicians to use their clinical judgment and deliver high-quality care without unnecessary productivity pressure. With state-of-the-art tools like underwater treadmills and a strong focus on therapist autonomy, Tristar offers a treatment environment that supports both professional growth and patient success.
We invest in our team through structured onboarding, continuing education opportunities, and efficiency-focused systems that streamline documentation and communication. If you're passionate about delivering meaningful, results-driven care in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment, Tristar Physical Therapy is the place for you.
