Under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist, the Physical Therapist Assistant (“PTA”) treats patients, communicates with their families, physicians, and other health team members, and maintains all necessary documentation of services in the patient's medical records. Physical therapy services include treatment planning & implementation, testing patients' physical abilities, analyzing and progressing rehabilitation goals as advised by the physical therapist, and consulting with the rehab team and other health team members to coordinate the most effective treatment program.
