Document client records and submit clinical documentation to the office on time each week.
Attend educational meetings and coordinate department in-services.
Notify PhysicalTherapist or Branch Director of any equipment failures, lack of supplies, or staff or client changes.
Apply concepts of infection control and universal precautions in performing patient care activities.

Required Qualifications:
Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an American Physical Therapy Association

Completes documentation (including daily notes and status reports to referral sources) accurately and timely (per clinic policies) and reflects good clinical practice as well as appropriate billing and reimbursement requirements.
Demonstrates an ability to treat a wide range of diagnoses and be knowledgeable in current therapy treatments, goals and contraindications for treatment. Seeks consultation, mentorship and/or continuing education when appropriate and to build skills.
Provides education and counseling to patient/family regarding treatments and goals, potential safety risks and/or other issues within scope of practice. Teaches home exercise programs and compensatory techniques or skills for reaching individually stated therapy goals. Adheres to company policy relative to development of home exercise programs.
Responds to urgent client needs by prioritizing and triaging treatments. Communicates schedule and work plan to Front Office Coordinator, Clinic Director and other team members as appropriate. Must be able to meet clinic productivity standards.

Job Requirements
Education Requirements: Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
Certifications Requirements: Valid state license, CPR certification, and TB clearance
Experience Requirements: At least 1 year of experience as a COTA, preferably in long-term care settings

The primary responsibility while working as a physical therapy technician is to assist in maintaining patient flow of the clinic. Prepare and maintain equipment and treatment rooms
Maintaining patient flow in the clinic between patients, therapists and schedulers
Cleaning patient care areas and sanitizing equipment
Laundry duties & stocking supplies
Opening and closing tasks
Assisting patients with modalities (including heat packs, ice packs, electrical stimulation, and ultrasound) under the direct supervision of a physicaltherapist
Essential Qualifications:
Regular and predictable attendance.
Majority of the shift is spent standing and walking.
Read a variety of printed and handwritten materials and take verbal instruction.
Communicate with patients, therapists, and co-workers.
No prior medical experience is required for this position.
Hours: 15-40 hours per week. Clinic is open from Monday thru Friday 7am to 6pm (shifts start 30 minutes before open and end 30 minutes after close).
