ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepares documents and shipping orders. Packs, seals, and labels materials for shipping using most cost effective method of shipping via US Mail, UPS, Fed Ex or other carriers.
Examines contents and compares with records to verify accuracy of outgoing shipments.
Determines shipping method for materials, using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes and rates.
Records shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, and damages and discrepancies, for reporting, accounting and record-keeping purposes.
Contacts carrier representative to make arrangements and to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials.
Confers and corresponds with required representative to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, and nonconformance specifications.
Requisitions and stores shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock. Keeps records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment.
Receives all material and compare to packing list. Examines and inspects received items for breakage, reporting any damage to purchasing agent. Marks, packs and unpacks items to be stocked on shelves in warehouse according to corporate standards.
Layout and builds control panels according to designs provided by engineering. Wires panels according to designs and appropriate regulatory standards in a neat and workmanlike manner.
Marks all project shelves with job number, job name and PM assigned to the project. The area where material is placed needs to be clearly marked so that it is not accidentally removed for another project.
Any material that is transferred to or from any stock location must be properly documented within the accounting system, and/or a packing list prepared for shipment to the customer.

Pay Rate: $24/hour The primary focus of the Warehouse II role is movement of product within the warehouse. In addition, this role will serve as back-up delivery driver for non-CDL trucks. About the Role Receive shipments & accurately maintain inventory records. Maintain stockroom & off-site locations. Assist sales team in replenishing sales floor after shipment or during recovery periods. You're excited about this opportunity because you will...
* Exemplify the highest level of customer service standards to internal and external customers
* Scan shipment as delivered
* Ticket and stock merchandise in the stock room or prepare for immediate distribution to the sales floor
* Provide feedback to supervisor regarding inventory levels and damages
* Organize stockroom by department and categories and stock merchandise on appropriate shelves or in offsite locations
* Adjust stocking procedures to ensure aisles and exits are clear
* Ensure that merchandise is safely stored, properly ticketed packaged and logged, and easily located for replenishment
* Pack and log merchandise as required for customer deliveries
* Transport merchandise to and from remote stockroom locations and maintain accurate inventory records
* Ensure that the stockroom is clean, swept, with garbage removed and supplies organized
* May assist on sales floor during peak times and as assigned
* Complete tasks listed on daily agenda or as assigned (i.e., maintenance of store, lighting, cleaning)
* Comply with all company policies and procedures
* Ensure all appropriate stockroom procedures are followed to minimize loss to the company

* Proven ability to operate and read scanning equipment for extended periods
* Ability to lift and carry medium-to-large items, weighing up to 100 lbs., utilizing appropriate equipment and safety techniques
* Full time associates are expected to have open availability to meet the needs of the business. Casual associates must be available to work a minimum of two regularly scheduled shifts on the weekend (Friday, Saturday and/or Sunday) and two during the week (Monday to Thursday). Associates must be available for annual inventory and entire holiday season (November and December)
* Example: Weekend availability cannot fall on the same day; an associate must be available on two separate days (Friday and Saturday, Friday and Sunday or Saturday and Sunday). If preferred, an associate can also choose to have all three shifts of availability on the weekend (Friday to Sunday) and none during the week (Monday to Thursday)
Physical Requirements:
* Ability to be mobile on the sales floor for extended periods of time
* Ability to operate POS system
* Ability to lift and mobilize medium to large items, up to 75 pounds, while utilizing appropriate equipment and safety techniques
