This is the first level of the field technician positions. This position may be a training slot for a Designer and/or CAD position within the organization. Desired qualifications for this incumbent include being well organized in actions and written communication, being familiar with common computer software including MS Office Suite and CAD drafting systems if applicable; having experience in design or line construction in a utility environment, being familiar with GIS systems and basic data structures preferred. Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the collection of facilities field data as specified for use by others in updating facilities records or preparing design documents. This position encompasses data collection, measurement, mapping, field photography, equipment or unit inventory, staking, and similar field-based reconnaissance at the direction of senior technical or engineering employees. This position will often work with more senior employees in the field acting as a design or staking assistant. Among the incumbent's responsibilities are the following:

Accurately record measurements and dimensions of requested items; be able to recognize levels of detail required to create a complete and accurate accounting of the field inventory and environment per the project specifications.
Incumbent may be required to assist in power restoration efforts in natural disaster events (eg: driver, wire sitter, runner)
Accurately records data and measurements using correct standards and symbology such that the resulting product is clear and easily understood by office-based project personnel.
Meets production targets and understands the importance of project deliverables and milestones

What You Will Do
• Identify and conceptualize primarily robotic and at times other forms of automated solutions to drive improvements in safety, ergonomics, quality, productivity, and cost reductions throughout the Machine Division.

Summary
Lincoln Electric is growing the Plant Engineering team and has outstanding opportunities for an experienced Electrical Engineering Technologist. Our Plant Engineering team is responsible for implementing capital projects and providing engineering support for the Consumable and Machine divisions of Cleveland Operations. Electrical Engineering Technologists play a crucial role in designing the electrical systems for equipment used in manufacturing welding machines and consumables, ensuring that the production floor equipment adheres to corporate objectives related to safety, health, productivity, quality, and continuous improvement.

What You Will Do
As an Electrical Engineering Technologist, you will collaborate in a team environment to design and support industrial electrical systems, which includes various types of equipment new and old.
Specific responsibilities include:
Modify solutions to improve equipment reliability, safety, ergonomics, and compliance with ISO 14001, ISO 450001, and other EHS initiatives.
Provide technical support to Production, Maintenance, and IT departments, reducing downtime and improving system performance.
Maintain, modify and update PLC, VFD, and HMI programs using various control automation platforms, including Rockwell, Siemens, and Beijer.
Update and support National Instruments LabVIEW code for testing applications and equipment.
Interface with engineering, manufacturing, maintenance, IT, MES, and Production teams to support facility projects.
Apply NEC knowledge for planning industrial equipment installations and work with electricians to update documentation.
Supply project leaders with capital cost estimates and timelines, and review capital equipment quotations.
Lead projects or project steps, solve complex problems, and act as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
Manage outside engineering and construction personnel, ensuring all safety, health, environmental, and compliance aspects meet regulations.
Integrate equipment into data collection systems and establish network topologies.
Support network backup, device patching management, and control system asset inventory.
Compile data from connected devices for organizational use and develop standards for control systems hardware and software.
Identify and assume additional responsibilities for projects and processes that align with and drive towards Lincoln Electric Company's 2025 Higher Standard Goals.
Education & Experience Requirements
Level II: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree required in Electrical Engineering Technology and 3+ years' experience
Level Ill: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree required in Electrical Engineering Technology and 5+ years' experience
Level IV: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree required in Electrical Engineering Technology and 8+ years' experience
Experience with AutoCAD Electrical CAD software.
Experience with PLCs, HMls, VFDs, and test equipment, including Rockwell Automation software, Siemens software, and National Instruments LabVIEW.
Knowledge of NFPA 70, 70E, and 79, and other technical codes.
Knowledge of basic networking concepts and SQL Database.
