    Job Description GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Clinical Instructors are responsible for the clinical education of RN student nurses in the hospital setting. Instructors report to the Associate Dean of Nursing and work closely with the course coordinator to ensure clinical objectives are achieved. Select appropriate learning experience based on course outcomes, with input from unit manager or (appointee). Orient student group to hospital policy and unit along with clear expectations for the overall clinical experience. Provide clinical instruction, supervision and guidance to student group in clinical site (or simulation lab), including pre and post conferences. Provide weekly feedback to students and course coordinator. Provide written evaluation of student performance at mid and end terms. Complete an evaluation of clinical experience incorporating written evaluation by students. REQUIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND BACKGROUND Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) Current New Jersey RN License Minimum three 3 years recent/relevant clinical experience in specialty area Previous teaching experience and specialty certification preferred.
