Can we get on our soapbox a minute? Most of the trusted brands you're washing up with are made with detergents, chemicals and tallow, which is just another name for cow fat (umm… gross). Cafeteria Classified Employee - Overview of Benefits
7 sick days per year and 3 personal days per school year. These days are pro-rata. Unused sick days accumulate. However, unused personal days roll over into sick days at the end of each school year.
Paid holidays include: Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day.
PERF - 3% of employee's salary shall be contributed to PERF (Public Employees Retirement Fund). This is a requirement of the State of Indiana. The corporation is required to contribute a set percentage (established by PERF) to fund the pension benefit.
UMR/United Healthcare- Medical Insurance options PPO or CDHP with HSA. Cost is shared between employee and corporation.

UMR/NIS- Group Term Life Insurance of $40,000 paid by corporation. Coverage includes Accidental Death and Dismemberment and Waiver of Premium for Total Disability. Option to purchase additional $20,000 in coverage and/or dependent life insurance.
UMR/NIS - Long-Term Disability Insurance paid by corporation. Coverage of
Schedule Amount of 66 2/3% of monthly pay subject to a maximum Schedule Amount of $6,000 per month. The qualifying period is 180 days.
Delta Dental - Employee can purchase dental insurance, which is 100% employee contribution.
Employee can purchase supplemental insurance plans (cancer, accident, short term disability, etc.).
Non-certified employees may participate in a 403(b) plan, which is 100% employee contribution.
Liberty Federal Credit Union membership (can elect payroll deductions to be deposited with Liberty Federal Credit Union.)

What You'll Do:
The primary responsibility of a Indiana First Steps provider is to evaluate and provide treatment for pediatric patients between the ages of birth and three years with needs in the areas of physical, social-emotional, self-help, communication, and cognitive development.
First Steps at APT, while working primarily in children's natural environments (homes, daycares, community centers, etc.) also have the opportunity to work in other APT offices and contract locations, depending on the counties/areas served.
First Steps Developmental Therapist Essential Duties, Responsibilities, and Requirements:
Treat children from birth to age 3 for cognitive and social interaction skills to achieve highest level of functioning and to prevent regression.
Work closely with patients' caregivers and the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) through a Coaching Model.
Accurately document treatment sessions as well as progress or evaluation reports in detail.
Maintain professional/technical competencies and proficiencies for job responsibilities and uphold federal/state licensure and ethical expectations.
Requirements
Education/Licenses:
Minimum of a bachelor's degree in early childhood or special education (with an early childhood focus)
Individuals with a bachelor's degree in communication disorders (including a bachelor's degree in speech and language) may be considered for a more specific communication-focused role (DT-C)
Individuals with related degrees may be considered if they have completed at least 15 hours of academic coursework related to child development
Experience & Skills:
Preferred candidates have at least one year of experience providing Part C early intervention services, and would be considered as an early childhood specialist (DT-EC)
First-year?developmental?therapists with no previous Part C early intervention experience must enroll at the associate level (DT-A) and receive one year of supervision to ensure professional competency.
After one year of supervision, DT-A may request enrollment as DT-EC or DT-C
Physical Needs:
Ability to travel to homes, daycares, and other community settings within the service area
Ability to adapt to needs of patients and caregivers within their natural environments
Ability to be flexible with patients and re-schedule as needed
Excellent communication skills - oral and written
