(Mission): This position is responsible for the operation of machinery, equipment, and tooling required in the manufacturing of piston rings. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: (Duties include but are not limited to) Uses quality standards to ensure set-ups are done correctly and operates the machinery at an acceptable rate, ensuring that the machinery runs within process control parameters while practicing safety compliance at all times. Maintains tooling records. Locates and pulls tooling and materials for processing. Move materials to designated staging and storage areas to support production. Maintains all necessary tests that are done a specified times and responsible to check all physical and visual tolerances set for the product. Responsible for all necessary processing information to be passed on to the next operator before leaving shift. Performs random cycle counts to assure inventory accuracy. Conducts equipment inspections and cleaning. Maintains clean and safe work environment in assigned areas. Takes direction from supervisor; when necessary, direction is communicated through shift lead. Continuous learning and demonstration of knowledge in order to achieve increasing operator levels (from trainee up to Level 4).
