As part of a hardworking team of EHS Professionals, you will provide domain expertise to engineering and production resources related to EHS manufacturing and prototyping. You will support the team on all aspects of safety and health compliance with local, state, and federal laws at Blue Origin main facilities and satellite locations including, but not limited to: OSHA, state OSHA, PSM, NFPA, and ANSI requirements. You will also support the team on all aspects of environmental compliance with local, state, and federal laws, including, but not limited to: RCRA, CWA (including NPDES, SPCC, and SWPPP requirements), CAA, NEPA, their state equivalents, and any other environmental authorities.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Lead the creation and implementation of EHS programs for the evaluation and compliance with environmental regulations, including, but not limited to, waste management programs (including hazardous waste, non-hazardous waste, universal waste, and recycling materials), NPDES programs (including SWPPP and SPCC), CAA compliance, and management of change.
Strategic planning and process improvements for compliance with local, state, and federal safety, health, and environmental regulations at all Blue Origin facilities.
Partner with business leaders to continuously improve the culture, awareness, and accountability in support of EHS programs.
Provide support to trends with incidents; including spills, injuries, hazardous operations, launches, hurricanes, and other emergencies.
Perform a wide range of EHS consultation services, which include planning, managing, and reporting the results of assessments.
Prepare and submit reports to federal and state regulatory agencies.
Create, develop, update, and deliver EHS training.
Serve as the company focal point for health, safety and environmental issues and concerns.
Evaluate operations for continuous process improvement and implementation of preventive action measures.
Provide domain expertise to engineering and production resources related to EHS.
Provide EHS related input for building design and operations.
Perform periodic audits of Safety and Environmental Programs.
Knowledge of Title V of the Clean Air Act experience.
Mentor team members on Environmental requirements, good practices and new methods and study outputs.
Develop and track Environmental metrics for the organization and present to leadership.
Minimum Qualifications:
Expertise in writing technical reports.
Knowledge of applicable federal OSHA, EPA, and State-equivalent regulations.
Ability and experience of leading government agencies.
Knowledge of incident/accident reporting practices, investigations, root cause/corrective action processes.
Strong analytical skills and attention to details, technical writing, with an ability to interpret and communicate complex technical information.
Candidate must be able to lift/carry up to fifty pounds. Must be able to physically climb multiple flights stairs, withstand prolonged standing, and work in adverse weather conditions
Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute culture with all levels of leadership.
Required:
10+ years total work in EHS and leading program strategy and development.
Required experience includes at least a BS degree from an accredited institution with a focus in an engineering field (including environmental, chemical, civil, and mechanical) or relevant science field (including environmental science and geology).
Proven environmental compliance knowledge and application.
Proven ability to build relationships and work effectively with local, state and federal regulatory staff and leadership
50% travel
Preferred Qualifications:
12+ years total work in EHS and leading program strategy and development.
9+ years work experience in operational aerospace environment, manufacturing, or chemical industry.
Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) accreditation is preferred

This position will be responsible for leading, planning, and executing steam turbine and generator projects at a fossil power plant. This role requires overseeing all phases of project development, from conceptual design through commissioning, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and environmental standards. Job Description
Required Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial) or closely related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
Minimum 8-12 years of progressively responsible experience in fossil power plant projects, with emphasis on steam turbines, generators, and related auxiliary systems.
Demonstrated experience in project management, capital projects, and/or O&M-driven initiatives.
Strong knowledge of industry standards (ASME, IEEE) and relevant safety/regulatory requirements.

Key Roles & Responsibilities
Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of steam turbine and generator projects from concept through commissioning.
Develop and manage project scope, schedule, budget, risks, and change control.
Coordinate with Plant Engineering, Maintenance, Operations, Procurement, and Contracts to ensure alignment and timely decisions.
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements; drive a strong safety culture on all project activities.
Communicate progress, issues, and outcomes clearly to stakeholders and leadership; prepare executive-level reports as needed.
Lead/vendor management, including selection, procurement, contract administration, and performance oversight.
Support reliability, availability, and efficiency improvements for turbine/generator assets.

Provide technical guidance on steam turbine and generator modifications, retrofits, and reliability improvements.
Support root cause analysis and problem solving for plant reliability concerns related to turbine/generator systems.
Perform evaluations to support plant modifications and optimization efforts.
Evaluate and implement design changes, instrumentation and control upgrades, and performance improvements.
Collaborate with Plant Engineering and Operations to ensure robust, maintainable solutions.
Capital and O&M Special Projects Budget Support
Assist development of project business cases, including cost estimates, risk-adjusted ROI, and schedule impacts.
Support budget preparation, forecasting, and financial tracking for major turbine and generator projects.
Analyze value propositions and cost-benefit tradeoffs for proposed modifications or capital investments.
Coordinate with Finance, Procurement, and Project Controls to maintain alignment with corporate standards.
Project Implementation and Execution
Lead cross-functional project teams (Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) to deliver projects on time and on budget.
Develop work breakdown structures (WBS), detailed schedules, and resource plans; monitor progress and adjust as needed.
Oversee procurement activities, bid evaluations, and contractor/vendor management; ensure alignment with project scope.
Plan and coordinate commissioning, performance testing, and turnover to operations; ensure smooth handover with complete documentation.
Assignments
Assign project leadership roles and responsibilities for turbine/generator projects as required by the portfolio.
Ensure clear accountability for safety, quality, schedule, cost, and scope across all assignments.
Provide mentoring and development opportunities for junior engineers and project staff.
Work Environment
On-site work at a fossil power plant with exposure to industrial environments, noise, and rotating equipment.

Work with the Project Manager to manage manpower needs/timing as well as monitoring the electrical budget on the project
Continuing Education
Beyond any specific outside education classes taken to maintain professional registration, 10 hours of company continuing education shall be required. This would include attending and participating in company discipline training sessions or appropriate approved outside training classes. Although attending vendor classes are encouraged to keep up with technology, this will not count toward the 10 hours of in-house training.
