Key Responsibilities:
Job Onboarding: Lead the introduction of new products or jobs into production, ensuring readiness and alignment with plant capabilities.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field (or equivalent experience); 2- or 4-year degree or 2-4 years of related experience/training acceptable.
Experience in manufacturing environments, preferably in labels or similar industries.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Math skills (including Algebra) and knowledge of printing/converting materials and technologies.
Excellent communication and training skills; ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to travel for internal and customer visits and trials.

Summary:
The Industrial Engineer will be focused in the assembly of our electrical panels and driving the efficiency of both physical and human assets to improve operational costs. This position is expected to work closely across functional departments in support of NPD, material evaluations, product quality improvements, or other initiatives. In addition, this position will work alongside senior management in terms of strategic capacity planning, including new facilities and will actively lead or co-lead key projects in this area. Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement process for assembly of BESS cabinets to optimize both human and technical assets.
Collaborate with Plant Management, Maintenance, HSE, and Quality to solve production and safety problems.
Monitor production trends and implement continuous improvements.
Perform time studies to collect cycle times on plant machinery, personnel, and workstations.
Use production forecast to analyze and predict labor/machinery needs.
Use lean manufacturing principles to help improve plant floor layouts and increase overall efficiency.
Assist in the layout, process design, and implementation of a new 638,000 square foot manufacturing facility.
Develop and implement manufacturing processes for new products.
Research and implement new technology to help achieve maximum quality and efficiency.

Purpose/Summary

Essential Duties/Responsibilities
Responsibilities shall include but not limited to:
Provide support to the Business Unit Engineering & maintenance teams to assist with trouble shooting and elimination of chronic maintenance items.
Plans, designs and analyzes manufacturing processes for facility.
Maximizes efficiency by optimization of layout of equipment, workflow & assembly methods.
Determines the parts, equipment, tools and processes needed in order to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specifications.
Lead continuous improvement projects in the following fields:
Equipment uptime
Changeover time reductions
Plan and manage improvement projects by doing the following:
Cost justify projects
Work with line support to implement project
Develop budget and ensure adherence to budget
Develop project timeline and ensure adherence to schedule
Develop, maintain, and improve production operations.

Education and/or Experience (minimum required for the position)
Requires Bachelor's degree in an applicable discipline of engineering.
Minimum of one (1) year of work related experience in an industrial environment.
Essential Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Knowledge of Engineering Systems and Methods in Manufacturing.
Proficiency with P.C. based software.
Strong equipment troubleshooting skills
Will act as a knowledge resource and guide for less experienced engineers.
Familiarity with PLC programming for the purpose of trouble shooting process development.
Experience with high volume operations.
Experience with designing part fixtures and tooling.
Proficiency with CAD software, solid modeling software is a requirement and AutoCAD is a plus.
Able to work with others in a team environment to achieve a common goal.
Able to coordinate and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Proficient with MS Office products.
Experience in automotive industry, preferred.

Summary:
The Industrial Engineer will be focused in the assembly of our electrical panels and driving the efficiency of both physical and human assets to improve operational costs. This position is expected to work closely across functional departments in support of NPD, material evaluations, product quality improvements, or other initiatives. In addition, this position will work alongside senior management in terms of strategic capacity planning, including new facilities and will actively lead or co-lead key projects in this area. This position will also partner and support Lean Manufacturing deployment across Shoals and will become a Subject Matter Expert and participate in Train the Trainer workshops and deployment across the enterprise. Part of a dynamic group, working on solving technical challenges while having access to experienced engineers for advice and mentoring, while also working with junior engineers and co-op students. The position requires frequent interaction with many Shoals departments as well as suppliers and contractors.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and implement process for assembly of BESS cabinets to optimize both human and technical assets.
* Collaborate with Plant Management, Maintenance, HSE, and Quality to solve production and safety problems.
* Monitor production trends and implement continuous improvements.
* Perform time studies to collect cycle times on plant machinery, personnel, and workstations.
* Use production forecast to analyze and predict labor/machinery needs.
* Use lean manufacturing principles to help improve plant floor layouts and increase overall efficiency.
* Assist in the layout, process design, and implementation of a new 638,000 square foot manufacturing facility.
* Develop and implement manufacturing processes for new products.
* Research and implement new technology to help achieve maximum quality and efficiency.
* Work in a hands-on manufacturing environment with cross functional teams.
* Develop work instructions and provide training on the manufacturing process.
* Design, develop, and deploy machinery and other equipment intended to execute and improve processes.
* Support the Maintenance team with development of CMMS systems and PM planning
* Duties will require some travel.
* Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
* Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial engineering or a related field.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel, and other relevant software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and project management abilities.
* Relevant certifications such as PMP, Six Sigma, or Lean Manufacturing are a plus.
* Ability to handle multiple tasks while being thorough and detail oriented.
* Desire to learn, and ability to grasp and apply learned concepts quickly.
* Proven strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills, and the ability to create and work within team environments.
* Knowledge of warehouse management systems, labor management, and slotting.
* Experience with conventional time study techniques and work measurement.
