Operations Manager
The Process Improvement Specialist is responsible for optimizing production processes within the precast concrete facility. This role focuses on identifying inefficiencies, implementing process enhancements, and supporting quality and safety improvements across manufacturing operations. Working closely with production teams, engineers, and supervisors, the specialist helps streamline workflows, reduce waste, and ensure consistent product quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Process Analysis & Optimization:
Observe and analyze daily production activities (casting, curing, reinforcement, finishing, etc.) to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
Data Collection & Reporting:
Gather and track production data such as cycle times, material usage, downtime, and defect rates to support improvement projects.
Continuous Improvement Projects:
Assist in implementing Lean, 5S, or Six Sigma initiatives to improve plant efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance workplace organization.
Standard Work & Documentation:
Help develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and visual management tools.
Quality & Safety Support:
Collaborate with Quality Control and Safety teams to ensure process changes meet safety standards and product specifications.
Technical Support:
Support the introduction of new molds, equipment, or materials by conducting process trials and documenting results.
Collaboration:
Partner with maintenance, engineering, and production supervisors to troubleshoot recurring process issues.
Qualifications:
Education:
Associate's degree or technical diploma in Manufacturing Technology, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
Equivalent experience in precast concrete production or process improvement will be considered.
Experience:
2+ years in a manufacturing or precast concrete environment.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, 6S, or Continuous Improvement principles.
Skills:

**Position Overview:**
The purpose of this position is to develop processes for new product manufacturing, optimize existing processes and products, and support cost reduction initiatives.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**
+ Develop/improve manufacturing processes through research, design and modification of manufacturing methods/equipment.

How You'll Make an Impact
* Analyze production and resource bottlenecks by identifying constraints in supplier manufacturing and logistics processes, implementing solutions to improve throughput and efficiency.
* Conduct on-site and remote evaluations of supplier production processes, leading structured improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and industrial engineering methodologies.
* Drive continuous improvement projects by collaborating with cross-functional teams to execute Kaizen events, value-stream mapping, and process-reengineering activities.
* Build and maintain strategic relationships with supplier stakeholders-especially within production and planning-to ensure alignment on performance and improvement objectives.
* Review and interpret supplier KPIs, capacity data, and operational reports to proactively identify risks, performance gaps, and improvement opportunities; communicate findings to the operational procurement team.
* Support lean flow across the supply chain by optimizing material and information movement, reducing waste, and enhancing responsiveness and overall supply chain agility.
What You Bring
* Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
* Min. 5 years of experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering roles, with a focus on manufacturing process and improvements, supply chain collaboration. Experience in Industrial Gas Turbine Blades and Vanes manufacturing is preferred.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven, goal-oriented approach; proficient in database creation and capacity planning tools.
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, particularly when collaborating with supplier production and planning teams.
* Ability to coach and mentor procurement professionals on technical production topics, with preferred experience in project management..

The purpose of this position is to provide technical support for new and existing production processes and product builds.
+ Revise documentation for assembly and test processes under guidance of engineering.
+ Support fixtures, tools and test equipment for production processes.
+ Monitor manufacturing processes to identify deficiencies.
+ Identify tool and equipment needs to improve manufacturability, product throughput and lower cost.
+ Provide resolution and disposition of product, in coordination with Project Engineering.
