Job Description ORGANIZATION INFORMATION: Established in 1984, Equitas Health is a regional not-for-profit community-based healthcare system and federally qualified community health center look-alike. POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Program Manager for Mozaic, the Advocacy Specialist assists with the Mozaic program's activities, including but not limited to community mobilization and grassroots advocacy efforts focused on access to care. In doing so, the Advocacy Specialist will conduct grassroots advocacy activities, support program-specific activities and communications, communicate with external/internal stakeholders, engage in coalition building, and support other workflows in the unit. This includes assisting - under the Mozaic brand and with substantial support from external partner organizations - with free legal clinics throughout Ohio. Working alongside staff from external partner organizations, the Advocacy Specialist schedules attorneys, refers attendees to other services (i.e. warm hand-offs to patient navigation teams, internal resource programs, etc.) and books locations for the recurring program, which serves an average of 30+ attendees a month. This role involves performing a variety of chemical analyses using both classical (wet chemistry) techniques such as titrations, gravimetric analysis, and pH measurements, as well as modern instrumental methods including GC, FTIR, and ICP. The ideal candidate will support quality control, product development, and process optimization efforts by delivering accurate, timely, and reproducible data. Key Responsibilities: Conduct routine and non-routine chemical analyses on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products. Perform classical analytical techniques such as: Acid/base and redox titrations (Acid Value, Iodine Value) Gravimetric analyses (Density, Filterable Impurities) pH and moisture determination Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instrumentation, including but not limited to: Gas Chromatography (GC) Fourier-Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP-OES) Karl Fischer titrators Interpret analytical results and maintain accurate and detailed records in accordance with SOPs and regulatory standards. Assist in method development, validation, and troubleshooting as needed. Ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols and company policies. Participate in laboratory investigations and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Work Environment: Laboratory-based role with routine exposure to chemicals and instrumentation. Some standards will require a minimum Level 2 depending on the complexity and quality risk. Generate, accumulate, handle, work near, transport, and dispose of hazardous wastes. Collect, store, and label any hazardous waste generated in compliance with the ALS policy. Contribute to sample receival process including opening packages, sorting mail and data entry. Participate in shift hand overs to ensure smooth transition. Identify continuous improvement activities for the site. Other duties as assigned. The Cath Lab Tech will assist in diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures, perform emergency procedures associated with cardiovascular procedures such as Intra-Aortic Balloon pump/Impella and temporary pacemaker insertion. Follow established standards of practice under the direction of a credentialed invasive radiologist, cardiologist or cardiothoracic/vascular surgeon. Participates in patient and family teaching. Maintains role as patient advocate with a focus on the facilities mission. Qualifications Required: BLS certification or obtained within thirty (30) days of hire. ACLS certification or obtained within six (6) months of hire. American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Registry and the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) licensure. Preferred: Minimum of an associate degree. RCIS certification preferred. Previous experience in Cardiovascular Catheterization Lab. Previous experience with GE MAC Lab and Innova.
