POSITION SUMMARY
Respond and attend to guest repair requests. Communicate with guests/customers to resolve maintenance issues. Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication. Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines. Carry equipment (e.g., tools, radio). Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and utility shut-offs for buildings. Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed. Assure each day's activities and problems that occur are communicated to the other shifts using approved communication programs and standards. Display thorough knowledge of building systems, emergency response, and building documentation including reading standard blue prints and electrical schematics concerning plumbing and HVAC. Display advanced engineering operations skills and general mechanical ability. Display professional journeyman level expertise in at least three of the following areas with basic skills in the remaining: air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, carpentry and finish skills, mechanical, general building management, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, and/or energy conservation. Display solid knowledge and skill in the safe use of hand and power tools and other materials required to perform repair and maintenance tasks. Safely perform highly complex repairs of the physical property, electrical, plumbing and mechanical equipment, air conditioners, refrigeration and pool heaters - ensuring all methods, materials and practices meet company standards and Local and National codes - with little or no supervision. Perform routine inspections of the entire property, noting safety hazards, lack of illumination, down equipment (such as ice makers, fans, extractors, pumps), and take immediate corrective action. Inspect and repair all mechanical equipment including, but not limited to: appliances, HVAC, electrical and plumbing components, diagnose and repair of boilers, pumps and related components. Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing any maintenance work. Display thorough knowledge of maintenance contracts and vendors. Display advanced knowledge of engineering computer programs related to preventative maintenance, energy management, and other systems, including devices that interact with such programs. Perform advanced troubleshooting of hotel Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems. Display the ability to train and mentor other engineers (e.g., Engineers I, II, and III) as necessary and supervise work in progress and act in a supervisory role in the absence of supervisors and/or management. Display ability to perform Engineer on Duty responsibilities, including readings and rounds.
Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications; and properly store flammable materials. Ensure uniform and personal appearances are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets. Adhere to quality expectations and standards. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Related Work Experience: Extensive experience and training in general maintenance (advanced repairs), electrical or refrigeration,
exterior and interior surface preparation and painting.
At least 2 years of hotel engineering/maintenance experience.
Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.

Collins Aerospace is expanding its Business and First-Class seating programs and is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our operations in Medley, Florida. With multiple new programs ramping up beginning in 2026, this role will be instrumental in preparing the manufacturing facility for increased production across several global airline customers. This is a project-focused position supporting manufacturing readiness, process development, and successful program execution in a growing, dynamic environment.
This is an onsite role in Medley, FL and _may_ be eligible for relocation.
**What You Will Do**
+ Support new and ramping Business/First Class seating programs by preparing the manufacturing facility for increased production volumes
+ Perform make-versus-buy analyses to support program and production strategy decisions
+ Develop and structure Manufacturing Bills of Material (MBOMs) and routings based on engineering data and change notices
+ Create and maintain clear, effective work instructions to support safe, efficient, and repeatable builds
+ Design or support the development of jigs, fixtures, tooling, and parts presentation strategies to improve manufacturing efficiency
+ Apply lean manufacturing principles to optimize processes, reduce waste, and improve flow
+ Conduct routine engineering analyses and process studies related to new methods, materials, or standards
+ Prepare process specifications, production aids, factory work standards, and MRP support studies as required
+ Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, supply chain, quality, and operations
+ Perform other related manufacturing engineering duties as needed to support program success
**Qualifications You Must Have**
+ Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field
+ Understanding of Lean manufacturing
**Qualifications We Prefer**
+ Experience supporting manufacturing projects
+ Hands-on experience designing jigs and/or fixtures to aid manufacturing processes
+ Experience troubleshooting manufacturing designs
+ Experience with SAP is a significant plus
+ Experience with Siemens NX or a similar CAD/modeling tool
+ Aerospace manufacturing experience preferred, but not required

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Propulsion Manufacturing Engineer to support the design, assembly, integration, and testing of electric propulsion thrusters for Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with propulsion system hardware, electrical and plasma thrusters, and production line processes to ensure reliable, repeatable, and high-quality manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain manufacturing processes for electric propulsion thrusters and subsystems, including assembly, bonding, welding, and integration.
Support production line setup, tooling design, and workflow optimization to improve yield, cycle time, and throughput.
Collaborate with design engineers to ensure manufacturability of propulsion system components and assemblies.
Define and implement quality control procedures including ESD protection, contamination control, vacuum compatibility, and leak testing.
Support the assembly, integration, and verification (AIV) of propulsion modules, including electrical connections, harness routing, and fluid/electrical interfaces.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to plasma thrusters, ion engines, Hall-effect thrusters, and PPU integration.
Conduct DFM/DFX reviews to enhance reliability and manufacturability.
Develop detailed work instructions, assembly documentation, and test procedures for technicians and operators.
Participate in qualification and acceptance testing, including vibration, thermal vacuum (TVAC), and functional testing of thruster subsystems.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives for cost reduction, process automation, and scalability for satellite constellations.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
Hands-on experience with electric propulsion systems (Hall thrusters, ion thrusters, or similar plasma propulsion technologies).
Familiarity with vacuum chamber operations, leak detection methods, and contamination control.
Experience with satellite manufacturing standards (ECSS, NASA, IPC, or equivalent).
Strong knowledge of electrical integration, power processing units (PPUs), and harnessing in propulsion systems.
Proficiency in CAD software (CATIA, NX, SolidWorks, or similar) for design-for-manufacturing activities.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as precision machining, brazing, welding, additive manufacturing, and surface treatments.
Strong problem-solving, documentation, and cross-disciplinary collaboration skills.
Experience in cleanroom and ESD-controlled environments is highly desirable.
