As part of Garver's growing College Station WDC team, you'll be part of a project team producing designs for water and wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, lift stations, and other ancillary infrastructure associated with water and wastewater projects. You'll be engaged in design calculations, hydraulic modeling, facility layouts, equipment selections, managing and coordinating support discipline activities, coordinating with equipment vendors and regulatory agencies, and performing quality reviews. You'll travel occasionally when a project requires a site assessment as well as support during construction.

What you'll bring:
Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental, chemical, mechanical, or biosystems/agricultural engineering from an ABET accredited program
5 or more years of direct experience designing lift stations, booster pump stations, chemical feed, and water/wastewater treatment facilities

Professional Engineer Licensure (PE)

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will oversee the electrical design and documentation of assigned projects for the electrical systems that power, support, and operate buildings. You'll also lead and collaborate with other electrical team members, with a focus on effective coordination across disciplines and delivering high-quality, fully integrated designs. Responsibilities:
Lead the electrical design process for assigned facilities projects from concept through completion.

Purpose:
The Research Engineer II, under the management of the AggieFab Laboratory Manager, will be responsible for nanofabrication tool management and process development tasks in support of AggieFab, the main nanofabrication cleanroom facility at Texas A&M University.
This role will involve the operation, development, and process optimization for a broad suite of nanofabrication tools in AggieFab. The AggieFab installed base includes electron beam lithography, photolithography, thin film deposition (electroplating, PVD, CVD, and ALD), 3D printing, wafer bonding, reactive ion etching (ICP-RIE and DRIE), metrology, and advanced analysis (dual-beam FIB) tooling. This role will also involve participating in micro/nanofabrication projects that TAMU principal investigators and external customers are engaged in, including MEMS, BioMEMS, microfluidic, and semiconductor devices.
Responsibilities:
Developing suitable recipes to achieve optimum results from the process tools for various AggieFab customer research projects.
Executing staff runs for academic and industrial customers and preparing detailed reports.
Establishing standard operating and training procedures.
Maintaining stable operation of tools under their purview by performing periodic control runs and obtaining inputs from the user base.
Training academic and industrial users in the operation of tools.
Training and supervising undergraduate student workers.
Working with tool vendors in developing tool operations and performance enhancements.
Establishing preventative maintenance programs and/or working with tool manufacturers to troubleshoot problems and achieve a high up-time for the user base.

+ Liaise and communicate with internal and external customers to ensure full clarity of project status.
+ Leads solution generating activities in order to provide fit for purpose designs, equipment, tooling and processes includes performing DOE and or experimentation.
+ Using 3D CAD software, prepare full engineering design drawings to enable successful Proof of concept (POC) and handover to the operations team. Perform in-depth design review of the drawings through review and approval process.
+ Ensure full project documentation and change control complies with PPE quality systems.
+ Agree and control the design freeze stage of allocated projects/new products.
+ Lead special projects, existing or new product/tooling and process improvements by working with other departments.
+ Participates in the development and maintenance of new business processes; edits as necessary to ensure current practices are documented
+ Performs other duties as assigned that are not typical to the functional area. Duties will vary according to the project and/or the specific goals of the department in which the incumbent works.

The Design Engineer designs, analyzes, and documents new or existing products from the requirements provided. Creates and sustains specifications using engineering analysis and judgment. Oversees the development and testing of engineering prototypes. Communicates and coordinates with vendors to obtain information and assistance.
Position Responsibilities may include;
Create, revise, and sustain HVAC product designs, utilizing knowledge of mechanical engineering principles.
Develop and manage project schedules related to new and existing product designs.
Analyze product designs using tolerance, thermodynamic, finite element, and computational fluid dynamic analyses.
Document product designs by preparing bills of materials, cost analyses, drawings, and engineering change requests.
Assist in redesigning internal components to improve overall long term system quality, improve efficiency & reduce cost.
Develop engineering solutions to product related issues through problem solving and root cause analysis techniques.
Participate on cross functional teams to launch products, resolve issues, and support product improvements.
Coordinate project work internally with the department and externally with other departments to ensure on-time completion of projects within budget.
Work with suppliers to improve quality and resolve product issues.
Assist manufacturing with product launches and issue resolution.
Drive continuous improvement projects related to product design and quality.
Perform other job duties as required by Supervisor.
Nature and Scope:

Knowledge and Skills:
Comprehensive understanding and knowledge of mechanical design theory and practice
Experience with design for six sigma (DFSS), design failure modes and effects analysis (DFMEA), design of experiments methodology, tolerance analysis, value engineering principles, and parts standardization principles (preferred)â¯
Black belt or green belt certification (preferred)
Experience with engineering change processes and CAD systems
Knowledge of specifications and standards used in the HVAC industry (preferred)
Software skills including MF Office - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project
Effective analytical and problem-solving skills
