Experience leading teams and managing projects from gathering business requirements to development to implementation
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, JavaScript, C#, Git, also proficient in cloud platforms such as Azure.
Strong understanding of data modeling, natural language processing (NLP), and deep learning techniques
Ability to translate complex AI concepts into practical applications for business stakeholders

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with a strong focus on HVAC engineering and design. The ideal candidate will support projects involving but not limited to building HVAC systems, process ventilation, clean rooms, hazardous (classified) location pressurization etc. Experience with Dust Control, Plumbing and/or Fire Protection systems is highly desirable but not required. This role involves developing design drawings, equipment specifications, working closely with other engineering disciplines, interacting directly with clients and performing field design work.
Education/Experience
Minimum of five years of experience in HVAC engineering and design; Industrial HVAC experience is strongly preferred (i.e. chemical plant, manufacturing, warehouse, etc).
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
Experience in dust collection, plumbing or fire protection is a plus.
Ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Responsibilities:
Prepare layouts and manufacturing detailed drawings using SolidWorks, (weldment cut list drawings, bill of material drawings and exploded views) and on occasion AutoCAD.

Review returned approval drawings. Implement necessary changes and resubmit or release jobs to the fan plant for fabrication.
Provide sales drawings in support of the sales department during fan quotation stage.
Calculate and size welds, bolts, bearings, hubs, blade thickness, shaft sizes, etc.
Select drives, couplings, vibration isolators, and seals for special applications.
Select/confirm proper resin, metal or thermoplastic material of construction to meet process conditions or specifications.
Ensure the integrity of engineering design… be the expert!
Interface with customers and sales representatives answering questions related to fan selection, design, and performance.
Address vendor and customer questions from equipment approval stage through manufacturing, installation, and maintenance.
Troubleshoot field problem(s) and recommend corrections.
Retrofit old and new blowers including competition.
Develop equipment training, installation, operating & maintenance manuals.
Develop and update designs in the engineering standards book.
Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
Manage customer projects, following life cycle to release, adhering to project budgets and schedules.
Additional Responsibilities:
Travel to customer's job sites to perform fan startup and training (15% of the time)

The base salary range for this position in Ohio (US-OH) at the start of employment is expected to be between $64,000 and $101,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Work with operators, team leaders, value stream managers, and planners to optimize process center layouts and designs incorporating material flow and line balancing.
Use lean tools, communication skills and leadership abilities, lead and facilitate kaizen activities encouraging multi-functional groups to participate, and meet common goals.
Lead and support capital expenditure requests and implementations using basic cost justification and business management principles.
Engineering Change Order (ECO) processing - authorization of product and documentation changes.
YOU HAVE:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering is required.
Candidates with at least 1 year of background in a manufacturing setting within engineering are preferred.
Basic knowledge, classroom and/or project experience in PLC, Electronics, Hydraulics, Welding methods, and Robotics.
Experience in implementing and leading Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement projects preferred
Experience using DMAIC/PDCA concepts in a project environment preferred
Experience in a Lean manufacturing environment is a plus.
Preferred experience: robotics and automation, progressive dies and stamping, PLC and controls, Six Sigma Greenbelt or statistical analysis.
