This position is great for an engineer who loves the craft beverage industry and has broad abilities across multiple disciplines. You'll help design and engineer our projects and product offerings, which will include design engineering, mechanical engineering, heat transfer calculations, pipework design, sizing, component selection, and other project and product design duties for all production equipment used in craft beverage production plants, such as milling equipment, brewhouses, cellar tanks, heating sources (low\-pressure steam boilers, forced\-air burners, and electric heaters), glycol chillers, and packaging equipment. Occasionally, you might need to oversee the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of various equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Design and engineer equipment offerings, including brewhouses, vessels, process pipelines, controls, and other equipment offerings.
Draft P&IDs, product design drawings, and fabrication drawings in 2D and 3D CAD, laying out, and specifying technical devices, parts, and equipment, primarily using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
Work with brewers to provide equipment recommendations and to provide advice on the use of products.
Occasionally travel to job sites for installation and repair.
Research, design, evaluate, install, operate, or maintain mechanical products, equipment, systems or processes to meet requirements.
Confer with engineers or other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, or provide technical information.
Develop, coordinate, or monitor all aspects of production, including selection of manufacturing methods, fabrication, or operation of product designs.
Investigate equipment failures or difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and recommend remedial actions.
Perform other duties as assigned.

* Monitor and report weekly on the status of all current design projects, design schedule and actual cost.
* Prepare plans and specifications in conjunction with other project team members for construction packages.

* Designing and routing individual HVAC or fluid subsystems (i.e. pressurization, pneumatics, discharge, and capture) including discrepancy resolution.

Job Requirements
Mandatory:
* Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from an ABET accredited university.

* Working knowledge of HVAC fluid components such as valves, regulators, and fittings.
* Active professional engineer (PE) licensure registered in the state of LA, a plus.

MECHANICAL SYSTEMS ENGINEER II
Based out of Rocket Lab's Test Facility at Stennis Space Center in Mississippi, the Mechanical Systems Engineer is responsible for Design, Build, and Maintenance of critical test facilities to support the Archimedes rocket engine and the Neutron launch vehicles. You'll collaborate closely with Engine Propulsion and Test Operations teams to develop requirements for test stand design.
Your work will require technical discipline and expertise in mechanical design and build but will also require a strong understanding of instrumentation and test site operations. You will be responsible for maintaining and upgrading critical test facilities to meet the needs of the Archimedes engine test program. You may be asked to directly support Engine hardware and Engine test operations. You will become skilled in Ground Systems engineering and be expected to work independently in support of the overall test facility design, build, activation, and engine test efforts.
WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO
Design, build, and integrate critical test systems to support all test objectives and requirements
Work with a team of technicians and engineers to perform troubleshooting to resolve facility and test operations issues
Develop maintenance protocols for new and existing facility infrastructure
Collaborate with Archimedes engine and Neutron vehicle design teams to prepare and perform tests on key engine and stage hardware
Work hand in hand with the test operators to complete design, build, installation and checkout of facility systems
This includes helping maintain cleanliness and integrity of systems, ensure component level verifications are performed, and ensuring internal standards are met
YOU'LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS AS A MECHANICAL SYSTEMS ENGINEER II:
