Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Develop personal relationships and rapport with key design influences at selected key accounts. * Assist Field Sales in the development and implementation of strategies targeted at increased business volume. * Promote Amphenol products and assists customers in selecting the correct parts to fit the application and/or design the product solutions that fit the customer's need. * Design component and/or value-added assemblies, (computer-generated as required), and communicate them to Engineering to formalize a design. * Assist in the investigation of potential engineering and/or quality issues that may arise. * Establish and maintain an organized inventory of product literature and samples. * Communicate with factory personnel in an accurate and concise manner. * Deliver prototype samples as needed. * Collect competitive data and reports to Sales and Marketing. * Represent the Company in the marketplace and develop positive customer attitudes towards the Company. * Control expenses appropriate to performance and scope. * Provide feedback on market conditions and trends. * Be able to utilize CAD Software (SolidWorks a plus). Job Requirements * Minimum of a BS degree in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering. Masters a plus. * Minimum 5 years' experience in design of electro/mechanical assembly. * Minimum 5 years in sales/applications engineering for Electronic OEM design. * Able to work flexible hours, willing to travel domestically and internationally. * Well-developed interpersonal/communication skills. * Able to travel up to ~40% - both domestic and international.
