JOB SUMMARY
The Production Technician drives to customer locations, meets with end users to determine the problem or need, and then makes repairs or performs maintenance as needed. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Communicates daily activities between:
Service call dispatch personnel regarding service call activity and completion
Parts personnel for the procuring and status of repair parts
Management to ensure that all possible resources have been made available for the proper maintenance and repair of equipment
Other production technicians to identify effectiveness of corrective actions in the field
Customers to insure corrective and preventative measures meet customer's satisfaction
Sales personnel regarding customer concerns or potential machine replacement
Responsible for the following training tasks:
Trains customers and users in the operation and functionality of new equipment

What you'll do
Responsible for receiving and pasteurizing liquid raw materials, CIP of silos and line circuits, monitoring equipment and sanitation and housekeeping. The work area includes the receiving area, control room, truck bay, flow plate and the silo area.
Key responsibilities
* Operating downstream of our hygienic fermentation process. Understand the process flow throughout the plant, timing, keeping on task and to schedule with multiple processes occurring at once. Ability to work under pressure and meet flexible changing priorities is a must.
* Operation of pasteurizers, evaporators and CIP units. Maintain documentation on pasteurizer chart recorders an MDA requirement. Troubleshoot problems with equipment and provide assistance or feedback to maintenance in the area when needed.
* Splitting fermentation media and perform a sanitary transfer to various fermentation and storage vessels including the sites 14 silos and fermenters.
* Running the sites two evaporators to precise setpoints of density, temperature, run rate and vacuum. Monitor equipment which will require climbing multiple levels of stairs during a shift and making flow plate connections with durable heavy transfer hoses.
* Document and oversee both incoming and outgoing trucks of raw materials for further processing.
* Keep in communication with the quality department monitoring ongoing processes, fermentations and addbacks. Fill out daily production and communication logs.
* Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide whole numbers. Basic computer skills including email, spreadsheets and control systems such as SAP and Ifix.
Qualifications and skills
* The physical demands of this position include the ability to walk and stand on a regular basis.
* Must climb stairs and ladders.
* The ability to reach, bend/stoop, crouch, squat, push/pull and manipulate is required.
* Must occasionally lift product from a variety of positions to 30 pounds. Is infrequently required to lift up to 55 pounds.

Compensation Data
The pay range for this position is $23.00$ - $28.50 per hour. Shift/Working Hours 445 AM to 515 PM
Staging/ blending ingredients, CIP of line circuits and blend tanks, connecting tanks and piping, and sanitation. Follows established procedures and run setpoints in order to achieve QC approved products.
Key responsibilities
* Performs line circuit and tank piping connections in blend room by assuring recirculation via liquifier, product discharge, tank to tank transfer, product transfers and lime slurry addition / pumping systems.
* Performs CIP of line circuits and blend tanks/silos by understanding CIP recipes, cycles and chemicals. Performs piping connections and will wash and CIP liquifier.
* Stages raw materials and follows established instructions on batch sheets to perform duties. Records weights, manufacturing lot numbers, and QC checks. Follows recipes to blend products according to process description manual.
* Performs line circuit and silo connections in receiving including discharge, transfers, connections, and opening silos. Uses FIX screens to perform tasks. Operates X102 and X103 heating/ cooling mode.
* Operates computer systems including FIX operator interface, Qset, and Excel for reporting, tracking historical trends, reactor operations, CIP system, chemical addition systems, liquifier operations, and product transfers.
* Washes and cleans equipment per the sanitation manual. Follows GMP program and rules.

* High school diploma or GED preferred
* Have a good working knowledge of arithmetic and be confident in its use.
* Be neat and consistent in whatever this individual does.
* Be able to write clearly and legibly.
* Be able to read and understand written instructions from the department supervisor or shift group leader.
* Be capable of strict adherence to company policies and yet able to use common sense in making many daily decisions required in this position.
* The physical demands of this position include the ability to walk and stand on a regular basis. Must climb stairs and ladders.
* The ability to reach, bend/stoop, crouch, squat, push/pull and manipulate is frequently required. Must frequently lift product from a variety of positions to 55 pounds and has occasional requirement to lift over 55 pounds.
* Vision and the ability to read and write are required to perform this job.
Compensation Data
The pay rate for this position is $21.00 per hour. As a ProductionOperator in Cresco, IA, follows Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions to safely and efficiently produce multimedia filters utilizing various types of operational lines and equipment. This role requires the utilization of hand tools, measuring devices, adhesive applicators, and media cutting equipment during production as well as calipers and gages to conduct quality inspections.
3rd shift hours are 10pm -6am Monday through Friday and occasional Saturdays.
Starting pay is $23.80/hr. ($22.30/hr base pay and $1.50/hr Shift Differential).

Job Responsibilities Include:
* Assembly of multimedia filters utilizing Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions
* Operation of various types of machinery to process materials/assemblies throughout the facility.
* Inspect parts using quality inspection tools such as calipers, height gages, etc. per testing instructions and procedures.
* Utilizes hand tools, measuring devices, adhesive applicators, and paper media cutting equipment in a safe and compliant manner
* Report labor, production, scrap and other information into production systems.
* Wear proper safety equipment (PPE)and follow Safety Protocols throughout the plant.
* Keep work area organized at all times, perform preventative maintenance as needed.
* Flexibility to move from line to line or position to position as needed including rotation for ergonomic purposes.
* May be required to assist with training, instruction, or mentorship of employees in training.
* Complies with all DOT, HAZMAT, Donaldson Safety and Environmental policies/laws/rules and company codes of conduct and procedures.
