**Who You Are**
**Required Education/Experience:**

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Manage small to mid-size projects, client and contractor agreements and budgets.
Effectively write and prepare technical engineering reports, plans and specifications for construction projects.
Assist in field operations as needed; this may include construction inspection, survey and other forms of field engineering. Oversee construction activities and compliance with construction documents.
Consult with clients and contractors to plan and develop strategies for their civil engineering design and support needs. Provide general oversight with contractors and sub-contractors.
Gather field survey data to determine precise location and measurements of points, elevations, contours, etc. through the use of conventional surveying and GPS methods. Prepares accurate field notes, drawings and records change in conditions while in field.
Ensure schedules and productivity objectives are achieved.
Candidate may be required to help with land surveying as needed. Training will be provided.
Ensure work vehicle is supplied with stakes, flagging, lath, etc.
Responsible for keeping track of oil changes or routine maintenance due on survey vehicle or UTV in advance so they can be scheduled for maintenance in a timely manner.

Bachelors degree in Civil/Construction Engineering with coursework in hydrology/hydraulics/ soil mechanics/construction and business coursework. Individual must have passed their FE exam and 2+ years of experience. The ideal candidate would have experience in municipal/buildings and highway design. Preference will be given to an individual with a desire to pursue his or her PE license.
Excellent computer and strong technical skills, including Microsoft Office, AutoCad/Civil 3D.
Must be detail orientated, self-motivated with the ability to think independently, and have strong listening, interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to speak and write English clearly.
Display a high level of initiative and ability to manage multiple projects and assignments with clear expectations and timeliness.

Must be willing to travel and relocate. Precasting yard is located in River Rouge, Michigan. Relocation and/or travel are required.

Responsibilities
Assist the precast concrete tunnel liner (PCTL) Subcontractor in the day-to-day management of PCTL segment precasting work by providing information and expertise on the production and management of the PCTL segment production
Prepare the overall schedule and coordinate the information between the site and precast activities
Monitor and report any deviation to the casting schedule and/or possible delays on material/accessories deliveries and/or difficulties faced by PCTL Subcontractor - Implement with the PCTL Subcontractor a stock check at regular intervals
Coordinate with PCTL Subcontractor for the submission of work plans, submittals, RFIs, technical, and production data
Ensure that segments are cast according to the design specification, shop drawings and methods
Ensure strict compliance of the PCTL Subcontractor with the Quality management plan and respective ITP - Perform inspections
Coordinate the resolution of QA/QC and technical issues with the Contractor's Technical Department and the Contractor QA/QC Department
Control and optimize the PCTL segment production cycles in the precast yard ensuring timely achievement of production milestones
Control the PCTL segments production to make sure the completed segment stock is enough to maintain the Contractor's schedule and at the same time not exceeding the PCTL storage capacity
Ensure that the finishing works of the segments are completed and approved by the client before segments are shipped for installation in the tunnel
Coordinate with the PCTL Subcontractor and Contractor tunnel production team the loading operation and transportation of the segments to ensure timely delivery
Define together with the PCTL Subcontractor to monitor the productivity and performance
Coordinate with the PCTL Subcontractor the preparation of weekly and monthly reports
Control, verify and approve quantity of work performed to be invoiced by the PCTL Subcontractor
Inform and liaise with MSP management (PM, DPM, contract manager) for the PCTL Purchase Agreement management
Control and report any deviation in maintaining the PCTL facilities cleaned
Coordinate client visits and/or inspections
Maintain a complete and current record of submittals, approvals, and resubmittals, including a file of letters of transmittal and dates of each transaction.
Prepare and maintain QA/QC documentation including ITPs, inspection checklist and test records.
Provide technical support for resolving quality issues and continuous improvement initiatives.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Manage small to mid-size projects, client and contractor agreements and budgets.
Effectively write and prepare technical engineering reports, plans and specifications for construction projects.
Assist in field operations as needed; this may include construction inspection, survey and other forms of field engineering. Oversee construction activities and compliance with construction documents.
Consult with clients and contractors to plan and develop strategies for their civil engineering design and support needs. Provide general oversight with contractors and sub-contractors.
Gather field survey data to determine precise location and measurements of points, elevations, contours, etc. through the use of conventional surveying and GPS methods. Prepares accurate field notes, drawings and records change in conditions while in field.
Ensure schedules and productivity objectives are achieved.
Candidate may be required to help with land surveying as needed. Training will be provided.
Ensure work vehicle is supplied with stakes, flagging, lath, etc.
Responsible for keeping track of oil changes or routine maintenance due on survey vehicle or UTV in advance so they can be scheduled for maintenance in a timely manner.

Job Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Civil/Construction Engineering with coursework in hydrology/hydraulics/ soil mechanics/construction and business coursework. Individual must have passed their FE exam and 2+ years of experience. The ideal candidate would have experience in municipal/buildings and highway design. Preference will be given to an individual with a desire to pursue his or her PE license.
Excellent computer and strong technical skills, including Microsoft Office, AutoCad/Civil 3D.
