DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position performs various engineering duties in the design, construction, inspection and maintenance of flood control projects by serving as a projectengineer and in ensuring contractors and DEP inspectors complete work in accordance with established agreements in the maintenance and construction areas. The position supervises wage and salaried Environmental Projects Construction Inspectors depending on the size of the construction project. Work is assigned by a Construction Inspector Manager who reviews inspection activities, and engineering activities are supervised by Civil Engineer Manager, who acts as the responsible charge.
If this position is filled as a Civil Engineer Trainee, the incumbent will participate in a one-year formal and on-the-job training program to learn the duties of a Civil Engineer Supervisor. The incumbent will perform these duties either with the Construction Inspector Manager or Civil Engineer Manager. The work products produced, i.e. plans, reports, letters, etc. are reviewed by the supervisor before being issued or released.

Maintain project documentation including drawing redlines and operation manuals as required.
Release assembly and part drawings to be manufactured internal to TAIT as well as through subcontracting vendors using appropriate dimensioning and tolerancing.
Efficiently solve technical issues as they may arise during fabrication, testing, and/or commissioning.
Support legacy TAIT equipment as required by project needs and/or support department requests.
Maintain awareness of standard of solutions within TAIT's markets, product lines, and platforms.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As an Electrical Engineer Consultant, you will be responsible for utilizing your knowledge of electrical engineering principles and methods to develop solutions for a variety of operational, maintenance, design, and construction challenges. Your duties will involve representing the bureau on construction projects, working with outside professional engineers and architects, and advising other disciplines within the bureau and agency on a range of projects. You will also assist in the construction and modification of various facilities, such as those related to security, food services, plant maintenance, safety, environmental energy, conservation, and building modifications to improve functionality and utility plant operations. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with a wide range of professionals.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 3 days per week after successful completion of a 6-month training period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
