The Project Engineer assists Project Managers to ensure that work installed on the project meets plan and specification requirements. This is a national role that requires relocation. Butler-Cohen Project Engineer I (PEI) is responsible for assisting with administrative functions of the Project, such as Submittals, RFIs, Drawing Log Management, Document Control, Meeting Agendas, and assisting the PE/APM/PM in their duties. The Project Engineer I position is an onsite position geared toward the developmental growth and experience of the individual in the construction process. The primary responsibility of all PEs is to learn under their team superintendent. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Document Control Populating Procore with most current drawings and specifications. Submittals Create submittal log in Procore, establish necessary workflows for submittals within Procore. Processing of submittals to ensure timely receipt from subcontractors, and timely approval from design team. Project Engineer, with assistance from APM or PM should be able to ensure accurate job coordination within submittals to identify and resolve conflicts through the submittal process. Communication of submittal statuses to project team and provide detailed support for PM during OAC meetings. Ensure that submittals are readily accessible by all project stakeholders, and that submittals are disseminated to the appropriate trades to ensure multi-disciplinary coordination. Follow up with subcontractor when a submittal is “approved as noted” to ensure all comments/notes are acknowledged by subcontractor. Provide reporting to project team related to the status of material procurement. Quality Control Assist superintendent and/or QC department with QC phase meetings. The Project Engineer assists Project Managers to ensure that work installed on the project meets plan and specification requirements. This is a national role that requires relocation. Inspects structural reinforcing. * Coordinates standard slump and compaction testing to verify compliance to specifications. * Reviews field procedures and final installation of structural elements to ensure compliance of the work. * Performs work sampling.
