Primary Purpose of Position
Performs advanced regulatory/licensing/technical problem solving and provides analysis/insights in support of department, nuclear plant and fleet regulatory activities. Responsible for regulatory/technical decisions. Job Description:
Schnabel Engineering is seeking a Project GeoStructural Engineer (8-15 years' experience) to help support our national practice. You will participate in multidisciplinary project teams, often involving multiple Schnabel offices. Your ability to lead a high-performing team, and commitment to exceptional client service and technical excellence, while balancing project risks and business needs, make you the perfect fit for our team!
Our Geostructural group provides a broad range of consulting services including construction documents (plans and specifications) for owners and contractors, detailed design, value engineering, construction-phase engineering and forensics. Services include design of support of excavation (SOE) systems, underpinning of structures, geo-hazards and stabilization of natural and man-made slopes and other earth systems/structures, marine and waterfront structures, steel and concrete design, ground improvement, shallow and deep foundation systems, earth retaining structures, grouting programs, design and oversight of positive cutoff walls, dewatering systems, cofferdams, and numerical analysis.
Job Responsibilities:
Project management

Required Skills/Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited four-year program and a Master's Degree in Civil Engineering (Geotechnical and Structural preferred)
8+ years of relevant experience
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Pennsylvania or ability to acquire by reciprocity
Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment

SUMMARY OF POSITION
Kinsley is seeking a driven and disciplined Project Engineer to join our growing site team, based in Kinsley's North East, MD office. The Project Engineer is responsible for providing construction management including administrative and technical support to an assigned Project Manager or Project Managers. Duties include technical documentation, jobsite communications with the Foreman and subcontractors, scheduling and cost analysis.
A successful candidate will preferably possess an Engineering or Construction Management degree or background, along with applicable field experience, strong computer skills, good communication skills, and a willingness to learn.
TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Read and interpret complex construction documents and drawings.
Review and process properly transmitted contract documents.
Assist in the preparation and issuance of subcontracts and purchase orders.
Organize and maintain contract documents and shop drawings.
Assist with the preparation of all change order requests for the client's approval; coordinate the estimating of all change orders with the project estimator or subcontractor; assist with the documentation of all field directives from the owner or architect that change the scope or original design of the contract documents.
Assist in the preparation and monitoring of the project schedule.
Update the project schedule as directed.
Monitor field productions and assist in preparing production reports and costs to complete as directed.
Properly code material and subcontractor invoices.
Assist project manager with subcontractor and material supplier coordination.
Organize and maintain contract documents and shop drawings.
Set up and maintain job files.
Monitor all long lead items and notify the project manager of any problems.
Assist in the preparation of the project close-out manuals.
Assist in developing a project punch list as well as ensuring that all items on the list are complete promptly.
Assist with Quality Control, including preparatory meetings and final inspections
Perform other related duties as required.
REQUIREMENTS
Prior PE experience preferred.
Prior field construction experience preferred.
2 - 4-year post-secondary degree preferred.

Compensation and Benefits:
The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between
