Education and Experience Requirements: This position requires a minimum bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with at least 4 years of engineering experience in mechanical design, construction, or commissioning for power generation or industrial projects. We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Civil Engineer to join our dynamic design team. In this role, you'll be responsible for creating site and civil design plans for a variety of sports-related construction projects. You'll collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to deliver projects from concept through construction documentation, ensuring that designs meet performance, safety, and regulatory standards. JOB LOCATION: Meriden, Kansas; non-remote ESSTENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop detailed civil site plans, grading plans, utility layouts, drainage systems, and roadways for sports facilities. Produce construction documents and support design packages including site plans, details, and profiles using AutoCAD Civil 3D. Work closely with project managers, architects, and civil engineers to integrate civil design elements with overall project plans. Ensure compliance with applicable zoning laws, environmental regulations, and permitting requirements. Perform quantity take-offs and assist with cost estimating efforts. Revise designs and plans based on client feedback, field conditions, and agency comments. Participate in on-site visits and construction reviews as needed. Stay current on industry trends, technology, and best practices in sports facility design. Qualifications Professional Engineer Licensure. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Drafting & Design, or related field. 5+ years of civil design experience, preferably with projects in traditional commercial development. • Validation engineer with experience in equipment, HVAC, utility and process qualification within a pharmaceutical industry. Previous plant experience is recommended. Background in aseptic processing, microbiology, environmental monitoring, chemistry, and production is recommended. The additional resources are requested for a total of fourteen (14) weeks starting in December 2017 and ending March 2018 to support Winter Shutdown changes. Hours can involve weekend or night shifts. Validation activities including writing system impact assessments, oversight of engineering during shutdown activities, execution of installation qualification, operational qualification, performance qualification, and summarizing qualification results/drafting qualification report summaries.
