Who You Are: Versar is seeking a full-time Project Manager (PM) for our Geospatial & Digital Solution (GDS) Market Sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting “Expeditionary, Troop-led Construction” efforts. This will require the candidate to work closely with the Customer Engagement Directorate program managers and team members to assist our clients in developing a whole of engineering approach and associated digital solutions for a variety of mission critical expeditionary construction efforts in logistically constrained and austere locations in the Pacific region. The Project Manager will lead and support expeditionary construction efforts executed by military engineering units in the Pacific region. The ideal candidate will assist our customers-uniformed engineering units such as Naval Mobile Construction Battalions (NMCBs), RED HORSE, Prime BEEF, USAF Civil Engineer Squadrons (CES), and Marine Corps Engineer Support Battalions (ESB). This role requires maintaining frequent and direct communication with these units, supporting troop-led construction in the field, and leveraging insights from customer engagements to help Program Managers enhance solutions and grow the GDS market sector. The candidate will be responsible for leading efforts in logistically constrained and austere environments, ensuring alignment with operational goals and U.S. Government mission-critical infrastructure needs. The successful candidate will collaborate with designers, engineers, and government planners to develop project scopes, conduct constructability reviews, and provide technical guidance throughout all phases of construction-from planning and estimating to execution and close-out. They will also work closely with Program Managers to set goals and strategies for project development and provide technical knowledge and expertise pertaining to constructability and troop-led capability. What You'll Do: Lead expeditionary construction projects in logistically constrained and austere environments across the Pacific Area of Responsibility (AOR). Provide on-site technical support to forward deployed military engineers during all phases of construction. Collaborate with government civilian planners and military leadership to refine project scopes and ensure mission alignment. Conduct constructability reviews and advise on engineering solutions tailored to troop-led capability and austere environment logistics. Maintain direct communication with military units and government stakeholders to ensure project success. Support Program Managers in budgeting, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and resource allocation. Travel frequently to remote locations to support troop-led infrastructure development (e.g., waterfronts, airfields). Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards. What You'll Bring: Prior military service in engineering or construction fields (e.g., Senior NCO or equivalent experience) is strongly preferred, but candidates with equivalent civilian experience in expeditionary troop-led construction will also be considered. Experience working with joint engineering units (e.g., NMCBs, RED HORSE, Prime BEEF, USAF-CES, USMC-ESB) or in troop-led expeditionary infrastructure development through military, government, or contractor roles. Ability to devise novel and innovative digital solutions that best meet our customers' mission requirements, mentor junior staff, and provide high-level technical oversight. Willingness to travel routinely within the Pacific region. Required Skills: Minimum 15 years of progressive leadership in expeditionary engineering or troop-led military construction. Proven success managing multidisciplinary teams in austere environments. Deep familiarity with NAVFAC contracting processes and government task order execution.
