Pre-Surgical Testing Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant Needed for Elliot Hospital- Full Time, No Call This position requires complete review of medical and surgical history, assessment for risk factors that could potentially lead to anesthesia complications, physical assessment, interpretation of laboratory values, cardiac testing, pulmonary testing and diagnostic imaging. If clinical evaluation reveals that the patient requires further medical optimization to ensure the best surgical outcome and avoid any potential anesthesia complications, then the provider will carry out those interventions and re-evaluate for their effectiveness. The APP is required to adhere to anesthesia pre-operative guidelines along with the additional pre-operative workup request by individual surgeons.
