EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE CRITERIA:
* MSN, PhD or Advanced degree in Nursing required
* Current, active NursePractitioner certification in the State of practice required
* Board certification by AANP or ANCC is preferred but may be required for certain States
* Current DEA number from the DEA for schedule II-V controlled substances may be required based on State of practice
* A minimum of 3 years experience working in Cardiology as a NursePractitioner in an out-patient clinical setting
* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AMA) or American Red Cross required w/in first 90 days of employment.
PAY RANGE:
$107,903 - $154,147 Salary

BayCare Medical Group, a physician-led organization, is seeking an experienced NursePractitioner or Physician Assistant to join our busy Cardiology practice at St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa, Florida. The APP will support outpatient clinic visits for for General and Interventional Cardiology patients, stress testing, and inpatient rounding, contributing to a collaborative and patient-centered environment. The group currently consists of eight physicians and five APP`s dedicated to providing high quality heart and vascular care.
Position Highlights:
Responsibilities include stress testing, outpatient established patient/hospital follow-up visits, and inpatient rounding.
Exposure to high-acuity cardiology patients and an established patient volume.
Work with a highly collaborative team that values mentorship and professional growth.
Weekend call coverage rotation 1 in 5 weeks, with the following Monday off.
Qualifications
Required two years of experience as a provider; preferrably in cardiac medicine.
Able to work independently and collaboratively with multiple providers.
Flexible, compassionate, and energetic with a strong team-oriented mindset.
Active Florida license and certification NP-C or PA-C. Acute Care Certification is required.
Current DEA license.
