The MHCCC features a 23-hour receiving center, a 24-bed inpatient unit, and a dedicated floor for comprehensive services including case management, legal aid, and addiction treatment. Set to open in early 2025, this innovative center will help adults in mental health crisis de-escalate, stabilize, and connect to community resources catered to their individual mental health needs. The center will help our guests navigate a path to mental wellness by unifying critical crisis services and many community resources in one easy-to-access location. The selected applicants will focus on inpatient care, constituting around 75% of effort. The remaining 25% will be dedicated to the receiving center and outpatient services on site. The work schedule is designed to be rotational, generally following a pattern of approximately 4 weeks on service and 2 weeks off service, with some flexibility for individual needs. Call is an expected clinical responsibility for all faculty members. Provide cross coverage for vacations and meetings. Specific assignments will be coordinated through the Division Chief of Adult Psychiatry. The Opportunity:
Full-time: Monday - Friday 10-7, lunch 2-245, rotating Saturdays 10-4
Salary: $75k - $90k/year + Bonus Potential
Medical, PTO & Holiday Pay
Responsibilities:
Consult with patients by reviewing health and medical histories; questioning, observing, and examining patients; and reviewing x-rays, as indicated.
Evaluate patients' neuromusculoskeletal systems and the spine using chiropractic diagnosis to determine neuromusculoskeletal and spine related conditions.
Perform manual adjustments to the spine, or other articulations of the body, in order to correct the musculoskeletal system, where necessary.
Educate patients on the quality of life benefits of routine chiropractic care. Provide a recommended course of treatment.
Maintain accurate case histories of patients.
Obtain and record patients' medical histories, as indicated.
Arrange for diagnostic x-rays to be taken, when medically necessary.
Analyze x-rays to locate the sources of patients' difficulties and to rule out fractures or diseases as sources of problems.
Patient chiropractic care and education
Building positive doctor-patient relationships
Maintaining accurate and timely patient records
Sales of membership packages
Qualifications needed:
4-year bachelor's degree from an accredited college
A Doctor of Chiropractic degree from an accredited chiropractic college
Passing scores for Parts I, II, III, and IV from NCBE
A recent NBCE SPEC exam is an acceptable alternative for Part IV
Valid DC license in the applicable state
Fully eligible for Malpractice Insurance in the applicable state
