Job Description: We are looking for a Quality Control Inspector to perform final inspections on railcars to ensure the required work is completed and in compliance with industry standards and customer requirements. The QC Inspector will also support the production team with other quality initiatives as needed. Job Requirements: * Perform inspections of the final product to assess the quality of work performed and compliance to company standards using checklists, reports, forms, procedures, hand tools, gauges, and test instruments. * Work with production to identify and plan for the day's shipments to ensure verifications and inspections are made in a timely manner. * Ability to use railroad gauges, testing techniques, and test equipment necessary for railcar inspections. * Report adverse and/or non-compliant items to the responsible supervisor and QA Manager and follows-up to confirm that remedies have been put in place on items before the car is released to subsequent processes/stages. * Communicate technical information verbally and in writing. * Ability to instruct employees on proper railcar maintenance activities using established procedures and training materials. * Able to perform tasks that require climbing and balancing on ladders and platforms.
