Pacific Northern Environmental, LLC consists of five divisions including Advanced Electrical Technologies (AET), Taurus Power and Controls (Taurus), Cowlitz Clean Sweep (CCS), Pacific Northern Environmental Construction (PNEC), and WasteXpress Environmental (WXE). Together, we specialize in commercial and petroleum construction, industrial and commercial electrical, industrial cleaning, and hazardous waste disposal. PNE LLC is a multi-state organization with operating offices in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Hawaii. In addition, we carry out projects across the United States.

The Field Chemist is responsible for lab packing, hazardous material classification, hazardous waste determination, labeling mateirals according to regulations, and preparing shipping documents. Hands-on work with the field team is required for this position.
Education and Experience Qualifications
· 18 years of age or older
· Must possess a valid US Driver's License
· Must have 2-3 years experience with lab packing, hazardous material classification, and hazardous waste determination or a B.S. in a relatable industry.
· Ability to load drums and other containers onto truck using a drum dolly and liftgate.
· Exceptional customer service skills and ability to work independently.
· Must have experience with lab packing, hazardous material classification, and hazardous waste determination.
· Must have a driving record in good standing to pass insurance requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Field Chemist possessing the education and experience listed above performs the following:

Required Qualifications:

THE POSITION
As a Quality Control (QC) Associate I, you will work as part of the Quality Control team to test and verify that all raw materials and finished goods meet defined specifications for quality, consistency, and performance. Execute Parse's Evercode fixation, whole transcriptome, and immune profiling protocols using established analytical chemistry and genomics techniques such as pipetting, PCR, ELISA, DNA/RNA extraction, bead cleanup, cell counting, quantification, and next-generation sequencing (NGS).
Follow all established policies, procedures, and practices, including Parse's safety requirements, Parse's Quality System, Good Documentation Practices (GDP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), etc.
Select, receive, and store QC aliquots in order to maintain chain of custody and to help process materials in a safe, compliant, and expeditious manner.
Identify potential or suspected nonconformities to prevent unintended use or delivery of products, escalating issues to area management.
Contribute to cross-functional Quality investigations and continuous improvement initiatives. Assist in root cause analyses (RCA) and implementation of proposed corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Assist in writing and revising standard operating procedures, test methods, and batch records consistent with established document management guidelines.
Participate in the review of test results and disposition of finished goods.
Perform routine maintenance tasks including cleaning and calibrating equipment, culturing cells, creating inventory requisitions, and organizing inventory and freezers.
FOR THIS POSITION, WE LOOK FOR
A Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or related biological sciences.

Prepare and submit all required reports to Quality Control Supervisor and Division Leadership at the required frequency. Ensure all reports are clear, concise, and comprehensive.
Update all pertinent quality control folders on SharePoint at the required frequency for both internal (Quality Control) and external (Division/Government) locations.
Establish and maintain excellent relationships in any interactions with customers, employees and management while performing duties.
Monitor and identify problematic trends along with customer complaints and initiate corrective action plans as required.
Cross training in all areas and locations of the West Sound Area contracts.
Communicate professionally and courteously with customers, be efficient and timely.
Maintain professionalism in both appearance and demeanor.
Continuously review contracts for standards and specification of work requirements or for any changes or modification to the contract.

Perform routine inspections of equipment, processes, and packaging to ensure compliance with SQF standards and internal procedures.
Document and maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and findings in compliance with food safety regulations and internal policies.
Assist in identifying and reporting any non-conformities in the production process and follow up on corrective actions.
Support the development and implementation of food safety and quality programs, including HACCP, GMP, and SQF certifications.
Monitor sanitation processes and ensure adherence to hygiene standards across production areas.
Conduct environmental sampling and microbial testing as needed.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; an associates degree or certification in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field is preferred.
1-2 years of experience in a quality control or food safety role, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of SQF, HACCP, and GMPs is highly desirable.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures meticulously.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
