EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE The inspector must have significant knowledge of the American welding Society (AWS) codes and demonstrable experience in a similar position. Valid AWS CWI Certification Proficient in weld testing according to applicable weld code requirements, including but not limited to GMAW, FCAW, SAW, or TIG processes. General Knowledge of national consensus standards of quality assurance, such as, ASME B&PV Code, ISO, Six Sigma, ANSI/ASME NQA1 and Appendices, ANSI N45., IEEE Standards and U.S. NRC Regulatory Guide series Hands-on experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and testing methodologies. PREFERRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus Prior similar experience in heavy industry Either have ISO 9001:2015 credentials or willing to complete the required formal training upon hire.
