This position will also work closely with the Materials team as well with customers to provide suggestions and improvement action plans. They must be able to perform their assigned duties in a pressure-filled environment with appropriate prioritization of incoming requests. Supervises daily activities and verifies accuracy of computerized inventory records. Monitors and adjusts inventory as required with current inventory software and Microsoft applications. Works with management to develop and implement new procedures to streamline process and identify inventory discrepancies. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain, Business or related and one (1) year experience in inventory, quality control, warehouse environment or related field OR Associates Degree in Supply Chain, Business or related and three (3) years experience in inventory, quality control, warehouse environment or related field required. Excellent written/oral communication and presentation skills. Strong computer skills in Microsoft office, web searches, and materials databases/supply chain applications and uses. Will be required to use a carbon-sulfur induction furnace and perform tests to always determine the amount of carbon and sulfur in the sample piece safely. Prepare test samples by sanding and polishing, using tabletop and stand-up belt sanders. Operate scales (electronic) to determine the weight of the sample. Mix polishing powders, materials to make polishing molds, liquids to make etchant, and materials to make a solution critical for the methylene blue test. Ability to operate a band saw, and tool grinder in a safe manner. Examine parts for hardness (Brinell) and gauging inspection ability. Machine and examine test bars for physical properties by utilizing a lathe and Tinius Olsen tester. Perform application tests on parts to ensure parts can withstand required forces and meet associated specification values.
