    Basic Purpose: The Quality inspector is responsible for performing in-process and final quality inspections of fabricated components, painted parts, and finished assemblies to ensure all products meet established quality standards. This role supports quality assurance efforts by maintaining inspection documentation and verifying that finished products comply with bill of materials and customer requirements prior to release. This position reports to the Compliance & Quality Manager. Primary Accountabilities: Implement Quality Management Strategy: Review and execute quality management plans that cover the full production process, ensuring adherence to all quality standards from receipt of materials to final delivery. Create and Maintain Quality Control Checklists: Develop and maintain detailed checklists that establish clear standards for production activities, ensuring the final product meets customer order specifications and bill of materials. Monitor Performance and Take Corrective Action: Continuously monitor performance according to established quality standards, including fabricated parts, enclosure assemblies, and painted components. Identify deviations from the standards, communicate findings to appropriate personnel in a timely manner, and follow up to ensure corrective actions are implemented and effective. Inspect Fabricated Parts and Assemblies: Verify dimensions, forming, and workmanship of fabricated parts and enclosures during the assembly process to ensure conformance with engineering drawings and quality standards. Measure and Record Paint Quality Data: Perform and document dry film thickness (DFT) measurements on the paint line to ensure coating applications meet required specifications and quality standards. Inspect Finished Units for Conformance: Perform thorough inspections of all finished units to ensure they comply with the bill of material specifications, confirming that the units have no deficiencies prior to release for delivery to customers. Maintain Quality Records and Documentation: Maintain accurate inspection records, including photographs, measurements, and completed checklists, organized by serial numbers. Utilize company Quality Control software to document inspection results and track quality data. Establish Communication Strategies for Quality Awareness: Promote quality awareness across the production floor and paint line. Support continuous improvement initiatives through clear communication, collaboration, and proactive problem-solving. Support Root Cause Analysis: Collaborate cross-functionally with production, fabrication, paint, engineering, and quality teams to assist in identifying root causes of quality issues using structured problem-solving methods. Additional Tasks as Requested: Perform any other tasks as assigned by the Compliance & Quality Manager to support the overall quality program, including participating in audits, assisting with supplier quality issues, and engaging in ongoing training to stay current with industry best practices. Qualifications Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; further technical education or certification in quality control is a plus. Previous experience in quality control or inspection within a manufacturing environment preferred. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify quality issues. Excellent organizational and documentation skills. Strong computer and technology skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of quality standards and inspection tools. Familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and weld symbols is preferred
